I subscribe to the thought that you should never listen to critics, after all critics are people, and people are stupid; at the end of the day a critic really just places his "opinion" and All Dogs Go To Heaven seems to have alot of negative "opinions" from alot of Assho- I mean critics, including one review from an official "top reviewer" that say's QUOTE:" 5/10 Cute family fare in Don Bluth tradition." By Steven Cum.BRILLIANT words from a BRILLIANT professional "critic", from his review we now know that the movie is "cute", "Family Friendly", and made by Don Bluth; I'll never again mistake the movie for being ugly, family hostile, and made by Hitler. Most of these "reviews" sound like there based off someone looking at the box art while on their special time of the month. What I'm getting at is that you shouldn't miss out on "All Dogs Go To Heaven" because of its "reviewed" score. All Dogs Go To Heaven has alot of charm, story, good animation, and some wonderful rounded characters that actual follow a drastic character arch that's worth watching (More then most modern films). All Dogs Go To Heaven is heart tugging and actually made me cry, and that's saying alot because I laughed when Bambi's mum died. All Dogs Go To Heaven is now on my top ten animated list, and definitely worth a watch; you won't regret it. ALSO don't let critic's dictate what you watch; their dicks.
Brandon S (ru) wrote: For all of its narrative shortcomings, this private eye (played by Liam Neeson) is a deeply interesting character in the way that the detectives of the classic film noir were. The only difference is that here Mr. Neeson has the whole breadth of independent cinema freedom to play with, and the camera can do more. However, for all of the disturbing and unsettling, 21st century cinema specific elements, this is a truly old-fashioned mystery story that doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or change the form. Simple cinema told with complexity, and isn't that what we're after from suspense stories anyhow?
