Chandni was a blockbuster in 1989 and is one of the most successful films of Indian cinema. The huge profits of this musical brought an end to director Yash Chopra's lean phase. The platinum success of its music was instrumental in ending the era of violence in Bollywood and bringing back music into Hindi films. The film reaffirmed Sridevi's position as the top female star of the Eighties.

Anthony T (ca) wrote: Awesome, fun, action packed, and overall enjoyable!

Sara L (ca) wrote: It's an action packed movie with a adventure! Love it

Logan M (es) wrote: It would've been nice to see Adam Sandler recreate his character from "Punch-Drunk Love," but his dramatic performance is held down by the overall dullness of the movie.

Dylan C (kr) wrote: I'll be completely honest, i don't find Sarah Silverman funny. I have nothing against her but I just have never found anything she's done even remotely funny. She chooses to pick on subjects such as Nazis, the holocaust, rape, AIDs, and other red-flag material. That's not the problem however, the problem is that she fails to demonstrate an understanding of the material she makes fun of. This makes everything she says about the topics seem immature, uneducated, and even worse, not funny. As with stand up movies, all a critic can do is report whether the material the comic comes up with is funny, and after 43 minutes where I watched without so much as smirking once, I turned off the movie.

Oliver N (it) wrote: Even though you're smiling gleefully throughout it, it feels to the modern-day viewer like a TV movie. But a pretty good TV movie at that.Verdict: B

Nicola W (it) wrote: Didn't think I'd seen this before but when I started watching I realised I had. Not top of my list for Disney films, too much singing for my liking.

Debbie V (ru) wrote: The opening scene is good, but all downhill from there.

Robert H (gb) wrote: A light and frothy, inconsequential but enjoyable romantic comedy about the romance between Frederic Chopin and George Sand. The narrative is somewhat undisciplined, but there a number of comic episodes and the performances are good. The best part of the movie, however, is the soundtrack which is almost entirely Chopin. Truly a delight for the eyes and ears, even if it won't stay with you long after finishing it.

Gary P (fr) wrote: Any movie about Rowdy Roddy Piper trying to repopulate the world has got to be good.

Marisa A (es) wrote: Inspirational and deeply moving.

Erik H (au) wrote: cool horror flick. a few lynch-y moments. lots of confusion and delirium to match the main character. not the most original story, but well-executed and suspenseful. i really enjoyed.
