Shane D (ca) wrote: Whilst not being utterly hilarious, you have to admire the attempt. I'd love to know whether this film is a hit in Spanish speaking countries, indeed Mexico. In any language, if you are a Ferrell fan, there is enough to please. Story wise, it's definitely thin, but this fits in nicely to the FOD and Spoils Of Babylon fold of ode's to 70's niche films/TV.

Johnny B (ca) wrote: As the genre of Japanese Splatter-Gore goes, I'd say that this is one of the weaker entries, if for no other reason than that it didn't really keep me interested like some of the others did. It's still crazy though, and worth watching if you're into this kind of stuff... you freak.

Jason D (gb) wrote: Loosely adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's superior "Cool Air" story, Chill is about an immortal doctor, who came to be that way after creating a serum he injected himself with, whose skin is not immortal, so he and one of his undead cronies goes out at night to find victims to use their flesh. In comes lead guy, whatever his name was, who suffers from being extremely dull and annoying, especially with that magical beanie hat he wears 95% of the movie. He and new girlfriend Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser I and II) are caught up in the doctor's web of murder as they try to escape his clutches. James Russo phones in a performance as well as a asshole cop/stalker of Ms. Laurence. Overall, very bland film with not very good special effects. Pretty disappointing overall .

Carlos M (us) wrote: An intellectually stimulating and expertly edited exercise in storytelling built upon two alternating threads that move in opposite directions (the main one backwards and a black-and-white subplot forward) until they converge in the end, making us undergo the same disorientation of its character.

Luc L (es) wrote: A nice style that is refreshing to see.

Larry W (mx) wrote: The brainier of the two volcano movies of 1997. I thought it was okay, nothing special though. Strange that after 20 years, RT has failed to aquire a critical consensus on this movie.

Hayden H (fr) wrote: Liked it till they came to the part to having Terry Crews dancing and Michael C. Hall acting like a wanna beBruce Lee

Brinn O (fr) wrote: Well filmed and the cinematography is superb. But only if the acting was as good.
