Nelson V (kr) wrote: Even though it doesn't come close to the sparkle The Office had (mostly because David Brent wasn't, alone, what made The Office great), it still is a cringe-full funny movie. The characters around David Brent (with the exception of Doc Brown's character Dom Jonhson) aren't bi-dimensional and not developed at all, which brings the movie down, specially when you (even if unconsciously) are comparing it to the series, where the side characters are as good or even better than Brent character.Overall it is worth your time, but it doesn't match the greatness of what came before.

Stephen E (fr) wrote: "Children of Heaven" is cute, amiable, forgettable entertainment that evokes memories of Vittorio De Sica's "Bicycle Thieves" and Albert Lamorisse's "The Red Balloon." What it makes it such an enjoyable watch is that it doesn't feel self-important or overbearing yet it doesn't overlook some of its more powerful themes. It's got just the right amount of charm.
Eliabeth Christina N (de) wrote: Typical romantic comedy with forced plot points and characters. It gets two stars for decent acting from Perry and Hayek.
Steve G (ag) wrote: I hate humanity. Vile, degenerate human waste. The main reason critics like it is because of the homosexuality. Trailer scene is (ironically) so corny. Only a sick person would romanticize this life. Painfully uncomfortable filmmaking. Really, ends the way it starts. Just a pagan celebration. Taste aside, River's performance is brilliant.

Despite realizing in the first few moments of the 'movie' that it was going to be shot like Quarantine I forced myself to endure. I wish I hadn't. Not only was it NOT scary in the least bit, but the main character grated on my nerves to the point of inducing a migraine. You would think she would be over the stair creaking, door moving "demon" if it's been happening to her since she was eight, but no. She needed to get eaten.
