Lila S (jp) wrote: Incredible acting throughout. You can really sense the characters fear and anger the whole way through, however also being shown a softer side to the 'antagonists', making the whole film more real. Very gritty, very violent, very worth seeing. A true British film that will effect you it is unforgettable and a must see.
K S (ag) wrote: Quantum of Solace was a high paced adventure, filled to the brim with explosions, gunfights, chases and good old fashioned James Bond lines. This movie is necessary to see if the audience wants key information regarding other Daniel Craig/James Bond movies. The show overall was choppy, hard to follow and somewhat mediocre. It seemed like they needed just one or two scenes to help the plot for the other movies, and just tried to throw a whole other story around it which just collapsed. That being said if you're looking for a common action movie that won't involve any brainpower whatsoever, this is recommended. The acting was good, they did their best to make this a good movie. The dialogue was fine, doing an alright job of tying these characters together but it wasn't a strong relationship. Scene to scene I was confused on what was going on. The movie seemed like a collage of running from place to place, fighting random bad guys, and getting revenge on irrelevant characters. The plot (as indecisive as it was) lacked depth and character.
Annelies S (nl) wrote: Real great drama situated in Mexico showing the huge difference between the very poor and the very rich. How terrible it is to see that a poor child is blamed for a murder it didn't commit, but since it is poor there is not even a consideration that it could be misjudged. Only one (rich) person knows the truth... A must see!
Ricardo H (au) wrote: Yes, it's a moving story, yes it shows how some families will turn away the ones they supposedly love the most because they turn out to be gay, yes, it's a difficult life for a young gay man. All of that is true, but unfortunately, not very well shown in this movie. Kip Pardue and Bonnie Hunt do a great job acting their parts, but everybody else is extremely stiff and not very good (with the exception of the motel owner, who plays the part well even if it's very one-dimensional). Okay movie but nothing memorable.

John K (ca) wrote: Another in the chain of monster animal movies that followed Jaws, Alligator fully explores the urban legend of pet alligators flushed down to the sewer. To it's advantage, Alligator has director Lewis Teague behind the camera and Robert Forster in front. It also has a crisp pace with plenty of bloody alligator action. Like the campy Piranha, Alligator has no qualms about being a B-film which is what makes it so successful. Despite limitations of budget, the effects are downright fantastic and obviously made with love. That alligator looks awesome, and Teague knew how to shoot it and make it look its best. Forster's David is an instantly likeable and genuine character - he gives the film that extra push that would've gone missing with an inferior actor. Alligator is a well put together film with that 80's cheese that many of us grew up with, and still love today.

Jeff H (es) wrote: A thrilling piece of drama, the sublime work of Tennesse Williams exhibited by the AMAZING performances of Elizabeth Taylor and Katharine Hepburn, this tale of desire and consumption as well as the very present homosexual overtones are nicely realized in this film and it's a wonderful adaptation and those 2 performances alone, are worth a watch! B+
