ChickLit

ChickLit is a comedy drama about four guys trying to save their local pub from closing down. They group write a chick lit, or more specifically a 'mummy porn' novel in the style of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and it gets snapped up. The only snag is that the publisher insists that the young woman 'author' does press and publicity. The guys have to keep their involvement a secret and so engage an out of work actress to 'role play' the part of the author. This leads to her becoming the star in the film of the book, the tables are turned on the guys and she is in control - leaving them with the awful prospect of having to secretly churn out sex novels for the foreseeable future.

Rachel H (kr) wrote: Entertaining, but a little too idyllic.

David S (fr) wrote: This movie is a poor attempt at comedy and film-making in general. The only decent thing to say about it is the great acting on Grunberg's behalf. Even the protagonist is a terrible cast.

Alex K (jp) wrote: 2012 Is 4 Years Old This Year In 2016, 2011 Was 4 Years Old Last Year In 2011 And 2010 Was 4 Years Old In 2014.

JuhaPekka J (nl) wrote: Very good B-class horror movie. I like it. Very bad acting and fun manuscript. Well there is much nothing to say about the effects. -anywa enjoyable movie in its ow genre. This is for you if you like B- "horror" movies...

Adam T (nl) wrote: A sometimes overlooked futuristic noir-thriller from Speilberg which is based on the short story by Phillip K Dick. A detective who works for an agency where murders are prevented before they are commited is himself, framed and must prove his innocence. Great plot, cast, direction and viewed today in this rapidly evolving techno-world, it's only the more prescient. For me it's up there with some of the most thought-provoking science fiction movies.

Dora D (ca) wrote: Maybe not the most frightening or thrilling movie I've seen, but with a good enough eerie atmosphere to keep interest

Richard D (kr) wrote: The best Star Trek movie ever. Gets into some hard core Scifi that very few movies even try to do. It's slow paced, but that's what makes it incredible. Sure it does take inspiration from 2001, but see no problem with that.

JamesMasaki R (ag) wrote: Satyajit Ray's film is like 2 films in 1, both stories happening at the same time, never to cross each other, but parallel stories from beginning to end. 1 is about 2 men who love to play chess, the other is about an Englishman set on the Queen's orders to oust an Indian Lord from power, like an alternate chess game happening. Brilliantly constructed, with even some animation (a first I think for a Ray film), and with great performance throughout, the film is stunning all the way to the end. If you want to see how chess can actually be exciting, here is the textbook on how to do it: create a story within or parallel to the game itself. Lesson learned.

Adam R (ca) wrote: It has some charm and humor, but it is uneven. It also wasn't what I was expecting as I thought it was going to be more like the television series. I was surprised and delighted to hear a Louis Armstrong rendition of the classic Disney song "'Bout Time" at the end credits though. (First viewing - Late teen years)

Kurt B (ru) wrote: It's hard to say which was worse, the acting or the screenwriting. But I could sum it up by saying Iron Sky was better. Utter rubbish.

Michael D (ru) wrote: not as good as the first part of the trilogy but still amazing
