Jim F (fr) wrote: This was billed as a moving drama. And up to a point it was an interesting drama until the eldest son returned back from his peace keeping mission as a volunteer for the US army in the Middle East. He'd only been gone a couple of months and returned traumatized by how many people he'd killed. I find it very unbeleivable that any volunteer would be thrust into any kind of front line fighting with no army experience. After that, this movie just became ridiculous. The mother run off with her knife weilding abductor and burgular for a brief period. The father found an envelope full of cash and then ran into the night stumbling over stratigically placed piles of rubbish before being hit by a car and pushed to the side of the road like a dead deer. While all this was happening the youngest managed to learn to play 'Clair de Lune' to perfection on lessons paid for from 3 months of school dinner money. If this is the best Japanese cinema can produce then they are a long away from the mark. If it isnt, then why show it on British Television? Rubbish

Matthew L (es) wrote: A continuation of the Animated Series, which works on some levels whilst completely falling flat on its face in others. The plot fine, if a little thin to be stretched over 75 minutes and the voice work of Daly, Delany and Henriksen is fine, but Boothe as Luthor just doesn't work. It may have more to do with the shift in characterization that they have chosen to depict Luthor with. Gone is the cold calculated figure of the Animated series replaced by his wacky comical twin. No bad but not brilliant at the same time.

Kat L (de) wrote: only heard about this movie recently.dunno how i hadn't known of it before.pleasantly surprised.

Cynthia C (kr) wrote: Like many movies made from novels, this is complex and lacks the customary cut and dried ending we expect from movies. To me that makes it better.

Skye B (br) wrote: It may not be the best film on the planet, but it has been judged a little too hard in my opinion - mainly because there is always a sentiment to bash Madonna present before anyone has seen the film. Thus, a 60-65% film (as this is) receives a much lower rating, because it start with a -50 before it is screened. This is quite sad, because it is worth a watch. Specially for the uncomfortable sex scenes.

Jovan K (ag) wrote: Maybe not good as the original ,but it is a decent sequel

Josh M (kr) wrote: A Cannibal Holocaust "wannabe" and not even close to being as intense. The production values are low and the acting emotion needs work.

Eric R (gb) wrote: Fuckin crazy ass movie. I can't say I like this as much as 'Tommy' but it has some great moments. Love the production design so much; its crazy. Just freaking nuts.

Alex B (ru) wrote: This is a good movie- the locations are dead-on authentic...I remember when the South looked like that. The story is ice cold (unusual for those of us used to Burt Reynolds in more light hearted fare). The stand out acting performance (and there are quite a few good ones) is Ned Beatty as the Sheriff.... Beatty is often type-cast as a likable, bumbling type- but occasionally gets a chance to show his acting chops. His Sherriff Connors is a cold psychopath under an affable cover...well done.
