Paige D (ca) wrote: This movie had zero substance. Just very bad.

Giuliana L (ru) wrote: Ellen Barkin's performance in this film is a major tour de force. She was at turns raw, vulnerable, tough as nails and completely mesmerizing. Favorite insult "you solipsistic f%#@!" (had to look the word up!) I also found the film's use of humor a particularly welcome relief since the subject matter is so heart wrenching. Well worth seeing if you like well-acted dark family sagas, with a healthy dose of humor.

Satya P (kr) wrote: Michael Caine is the old bada$$..Very much enjoyable..

Robin E (ag) wrote: The return of the Muppets to the big screen after several years' absence is a sunny delight. With the simplest of stories - the group get back together to put on a show to save their old theatre from demoltion - the film is full of cameos, funny jokes, self-aware performances and some amusing songs.

Jake F (us) wrote: This is hilarious. Gross in one particular scene. If you've seen it, you know. But it is a great movie and it's very funny

MF J (es) wrote: Interesting & quite entertaining on many levels, this film is very well directed but lacks something to make it fully awesome. The cast is stellar & Toni Collette confirms here she is probably one of the most talented actress to ever walk this planet.

James T (nl) wrote: The cinematic equivalent of Morrissey's "Driving Your Girlfriend Home". Whine.

Andy P (fr) wrote: Great film. Edge of your seat excitement.

Jonathan S (au) wrote: Has a couple funny scenes with Robin Williams, but the writer of this movie is an idiot. Unnecessary subplots and characters plague this film, and the story has too many holes. I hate this movie, and the poster makes me hate it more. Watching this movie is like being forced to eat a shit sandwich. You hope it's going to get better, but it doesn't.

Nathan M (gb) wrote: Or The One Where Van Damme Kicks a Tiger in the Face.I don't have much to say about this movie, because I choose to turn your attention to the How Did This Get Made podcast, which did an episode about this film. It doesn't make any sense, and I was very confused most of the time. But if you love bad films, you should totally check this out, even if just for Rodman's terrific performance.

nancy c (fr) wrote: You either love this movie or you hate it. I personally didn't care for it. Its based just a couple of days before the new millennium and is packed with action, suspense and a little bit of romance. There is a twist at the end so make sure you pay attention which is a little hard considering how long the movie is but I did enjoy Angela Bassett she made it worth finishing. -Nancy

William P (ru) wrote: It's supposed to be a good movie, due to best cinematography.

Chew K (it) wrote: Paradjanov is one big reason to love cinema. It is very easy to fall in love with his visuals, his music, his surrealism. A grand parade of national costumes and scenery. Gorgeous!

Kwong C (de) wrote: Even more changes as the subjects becoming 21; some were doing fine, some not so good, but all have their struggles. I suppose it would be dull if everyone turns out just fine.

Randy R (mx) wrote: A well enjoyable movie. One of Burt Reynolds early films White lighting.I don't have nothing to say but I enjoy this movie, enjoyable movie.

Eldin B (de) wrote: "If you're gonna steal from Terry Benedict, you'd better goddamn KNOW. This sorta thing used to be civilized, you'd hit a guy, he'd whack you, done. But with Benedict... at the end of this, he'd BETTER not know you're involved, not know your names or think you're dead because he'll kill ya, and then he'll go to work on ya."

Orlok W (ag) wrote: This is a real curio. Directed by Umberto Lenzi before he gained notoriety with cannibal movies such as 'Cannibal Ferox', and starring the lovely Carroll Baker ('Andy Warhol's Bad') and Lou Castel (from supertrash classic 'Killer Nun')--Entertaining 60s thriller!!

Shamith G (ru) wrote: A tipid, characterless, unrealistic anti-war tragedy..

Robert B (nl) wrote: Alright, it took me a while to get to this one, just been summer-lazy you know?Anyways, this is one of the Star Trek movies I just hadn't ever seen, and didn't really know much about it coming into it. I honestly didn't know what to expect, I just knew it was an odd-number Star Trek movie and that's not a good sign.Generally, it was brutally OK. Nothing in particular really happens that blows your mind (with exception to a literal God actually being a character) or drives a drama throughout the film. The main villain guy just feels really shoe-horned into being a bad guy at all, like a religious fanatic who just decides to go crazy and get to the forbidden God-zone.The Enterprise crew's general storyline is still just that they're getting pretty old, and oh yeah Scotty and Uhura are a couple now. Just seems like really lazy writing and the direction from William Shatner isn't anything super great - just seems to be the bare minimum. It's on Netflix, so if you're curious like I was, go ahead. It's a great background movie (leave it on in the background and do whatever).
