Shinji I (br) wrote: Just about perfect. I mean there are lots of great animes, but this one is like the sum of them all. Just look at season two, i'm sure you've never seen anything like it before ...

Adam E (us) wrote: Unimpressive but harmless enough comedy which doesn't really enter Bill Murray's top 10 but is nevertheless watchable. Kids might get more of a kick out of it than adults though.

Kyle M (au) wrote: When Disney remade one of their old live-action classics for the modern audience, they'd made one of the best mother-daughter tale of all time that's funny and sweet starring Lohan, Lee Curtis, and Harmon before "NCIS." Lori B (ca) wrote: Feather-light, predictable German rom-com/road movie. The first 20 minutes or so annoyed me enough that I almost put the disk pack in the envelope without finishing it. But by the end, I was having a mildly good time. What the script lacks in originality, it makes up for in interesting characters and good acting. Cute.

Cindy F (us) wrote: I saw the ending coming before it happened, because they pretty much gave it away in the beginning. Funny how a straight girl can't really get into a movie about gay male prostitutes. And I kept wondering if Courtney Cox has seen it.

Tim M (de) wrote: 5 years before I Spit on Your Grave, Hong Kong came out with this rape revenge flick. More attackers, an urban setting, and montages of learning kung fu and card throwing differentiate it from the American film. The effects, editing, and directing are so bad, it's comical. It's nice to see Shaw Brothers' take on the theme though. Abrupt and unsatisfying ending.

Drew F (es) wrote: Slice of life movie that examines two girls from different sides of the street as they explore night life and night people in run down Times Square New York in the 1970's. Great punk/new wave soundtrack. The two girls develop a sexual relationship.

xGary X (us) wrote: An oddball collection of individuals from varying backgrounds and parts of the globe board a ship bound for Africa to seek their fortunes. Obviously an homage to Huston's classic debut The Maltese Falcon, Beat The Devil is a curious mix of comedy and intrigue that doesn't really work as either. The collection of racial stereotypes on display farcically bumping into each other, engaging in affairs and hushed conversations made it feel like an Agatha Christie murder mystery; but with out the murder. Or the mystery. Bogie coasts through the film with a look of mild amusement exercising his usual dry wit and Robert Morley seems to be doing a kind of stuffy Sidney Greenstreet impersonation, but all the characters are really rather annoying and it's kind of difficult to care what happens to any of them. The ladies were easy on the eye and Bogart is always worth watching but during the whole thing I just wished I was watching Across the Pacific instead.

Ben G (kr) wrote: Excellent entertainment. Gable's fantastic in this role. It seems that Singapore, Hong Kong, Shangai and Macau really inspired the studios in the 30s. It made me realize how out of touch with the world the studios are nowadays. How many films deal with the business relations the West has with China while the PRC is becoming the center of the economic world? Not much really, it's a shame!Only real problem in this film full of great surprises (pirates!) otherwise: Jean Harlow is really pasted her prime and one really wonders how men can fall for her...

Samuel J (jp) wrote: Where the action is lacking, the plot and acting are spot on making "Harakiri" a very important film for any Japanese cinema fanatic.

Ian C (jp) wrote: Rewatch. An excellent premise but it somehow fails to deliver. In saying that, it has a likeable cast and enough gags to carry it over the finish line.

Regi H (es) wrote: It was fine. Some jokes hit, some didn't. Some animals looked like they were really talking, some didn't. Some of the animal performances were good, some weren't. Its better than the normal Adam Sandler & Crowd movies.

Jason S (us) wrote: Jessica Chastain was great, but that's about all I can say about the movie.
