shane g (us) wrote: I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's not often where one person writes, directs and stars in a movie (I.e. The Room) that is actually good all around. The cinematography is there absolutely. I mean, the scene right after Cash fights the large Indian fellow was, and I don't know how else to describe it, striking. The acting was really good, too. All the actors did a really good job, but I have to say that I will forever love Tim Murphy because he always knows how to play the least likeable bad guy; and is usually directly responsible for the death of some of my favorite characters. I'll be honest, the only real reason I took a star off, was because I have know idea who the hell is Todd. Someone, please... tell me.

John A (us) wrote: Very Entertaining Supernatural Thriller/Gore Horror, Surrounding A Skeleton Crew Of Cops Working The Closing Night Of Their Precinct. Late That Night A Mysterious Man (Robert Englund) Walks In Holding A Severed Head Of A Teenage Girl, Which He Murdered Earlier. He Wants To Be Caught. WHY? Because This Demon Is Wanting To Get His Own Back On The Guy Who Almost Put Him Away 13 Years Ago (William Forsythe), Before It's His Time To Leave Earth.A Smartly Made Film, With A Small Budget, And Great Performances From Both Englund & Forsythe Is Which Makes This Film An Enjoyable Watch. The Story Seems Similar To Val Kilmer's THE TRAVELLER, But Kilmer Was Not A Demon In It, But Like That It Had The Same Sort Of Suspense (& This Film Had A Lower Budget), But All In Nice Short Horror Film, In Which Their Is No Nudity, But Still Has A Few Sex Refrences :-(.

Ernesto S (it) wrote: Ripstein remarkable movie about real life based serial killers goes deeper than any Hollywood version of it, from The Honeymoon Killers to Natural Born Killers. Deep Crimson shows a unique understanding and profound love connection between two unlikeable characters. You're supposed to hate Nicolas and Coral, but instead you actually feel their own frustrations and understand their actions. With a splendid brief performance by Julieta Egurrola, wonderful art direction, music and top notch acting by Gimnez Cacho and Regina Orozco, this is the movie that should've won the Oscar for Foreign Movie in 1997.

Derrick T (jp) wrote: One of my all time favorite spike lee films for it's abiltiy to depict the gritty streets of brooklyn while not gloryfying the act of being a drug dealer itself, spike manages to show both sides of the streets with the police posing just as much a danger as the people on the corner. Many critics fail to see this film as a breakthrough for cinema dealing with african- americans street life. Lee's ability to pull no punches in graphic content and Mekhi-phifer's brilliant performance as a young man caught in between the streets and his conscious to escape the enviorment. All the actors gave a pitch perfect performance which for some who only understand the ghetto life from past movies might not be able to interpert. This is a must see for Spike lee fans
