(de) wrote: It lacks the narrative cohesion to be great documentary. Added to that its filmed with crappy digital cameras that gives it a cheap ugly look.
(br) wrote: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is once again a weak entry in the franchise with some solid humor from time to time, improved animation and some interesting scenes, but it is overall a forgettable experience with a typical story that lacks focus, too many characters with most getting an uninspired treatment and it is, as a whole, rather boring and mediocre.

(es) wrote: Ron Fricke, who filmed Koyaanisqatsi, largely excepted any philosophical stigma for this opportunity to expand the experimental/environmental film concept to the grandest projection format available (still to this day). Visually, it works as well as the Qatsi trilogy, but substantively, it functions just as an elegant travelogue.

(au) wrote: Blacula, is an early '70s film so the credits are 5 seconds long lol. Anyway, I expected this to be a lot better but I was grossly mistaken. The whole film was essentially a crime drama mystery. There wasn't much too it than kill become investigate kill become investigate kill become investigate. Anyway, I hated a certain something about old Dracula films, every vampire had different skin color in vampire form, now I don't know if that was to show they didn't drink enough blood or not, nowadays the vampire just ages really badly. Also, what's up with the awkward facial hair that appears in vampire form? I don't get it. The giant eyebrows or weird side burns....I don't know. Anyway, like I said the film is pretty boring and played a lot on the race card, at least in the beginning and was pretty stupid and annoying and may have been an important film tactic back then. But something like that doesn't age well and just appears rediculous in today's modern times, well...let's see if the sequel is any better.

(us) wrote: NYPD, family, crooked cops, angel cops, Irish cops... Sound familiar? It should by now, but somehow these filmmakers thought they were making something special. Not so much. You've seen it all before. Is it terrible? No, just kinda dull and silly at times. We're in a hole? Dig deeper! And then almost everyone dies in the end. Boy, that was a bad week. How'd they even live this long? If you are a fan of the genre, then by all means, but otherwise skip it.
