Unfortunately instead of bringing innovative new ideas to this film it relies on the successes of the previous film, but instead of seeing them improve and add to the new story it just feels like they were carelessly thrown in to give audiences an inter-contextual kick. Seeing Moony battle his daemons from the last film should have been a gripping watch, but thanks to some lack-luster scripting and an average performance from Oyeniran its largely forgettable. The film is still a good watch, but feels like something we have seen a million times before. Kidulthood followed a young cast, and the story was shocking as a result, the older cast still put up a decent performance, but the subject matter just doesn't cut it.

I just want to say Mutual Appreciation is not about akwardness and indie rock. (Funny HaHa was, and that was shit) This entire film is about alan auditioning that asian girl's brother whilst talking about math rock all the way to them playing their first gig (mainly all the buzzing and particulates of "Quarter to Three") for the first time. Just that(and that is alot). and the smoking. And if Bujalski can put it on camera, than fucking awesome.
(nl) wrote: While clearly wading in the "made for t.v." plot pool, "Levity" manages to be much more entertaining and much more haunting then it was originally seen as upon it's release. Billy Bob Thornton doesn't always get chances like this to show off a different side of his extremely talented acting ability. Great cast, atmosphere, and all- the film is still down that predictable "movie of the week" plot road. A very near hit.
(fr) wrote: This is one of both Keaton's and Garcia's BEST movies. I love the perfect amount of action, drama, and suspense that keeps you guessing & on the edge of your seat from the beginning. It would be great to have more movies like this made where the actors are actually believable, it's not poorly recorded or too caught up in special effects, and there is a plot that isn't stupid.

(gb) wrote: Unnecessary remake that is still somewhat entertaining during the set-up but totally falls apart during the infamous prom scene. Even the great Chloe Moretz feels oddly out of place channeling X-Men gestures as she is laying waste to the small town. There is nothing scary about this film except for her mother's religious fanaticism. And the final anti-mobbing statement feels really dumb.
(us) wrote: This movie was AWESOME!!! I grew up watching all the superman movies and they got pretty stale which is why they haven't made one in 20 years. This Superman has really outdone most of the others. I really felt the emotoin between Routh and Bosworth and didn't know her son was supermans until Lex got suspicious. It was a great reveal and the movie was outstanding. My wife is now in love with Routh!
