Bob D (au) wrote: A terrific bit of film making, gripping and powerful drama that pulls you in and doesn't let go, Gritty and raw it never once hides the pain and suffering and leaves you feeling both angry and deeply upset, with the events that unfold. Its not bold or flashy not quirky just observational realism at its best. difficult at times but engaging viewing well worth watching.

And that's kinda the way you have to look at a film like Q. It's part silly, part kaiju, part detective story but it is a truly fun film with small amounts of gore, creature FX, and some truly entertaining stop-motion animation thanks to David Allen. If you like the works of Ray Harryhausen or the kaiju films from Japan, Q The Winged Serpent will likely find a place in your heart to sit and tickle.

Interesting, but about halfway through I found myself skipping parts of the wandering story to get to the next song (using the handy song menu on the DVD). India far outstrips the US in waterproof makeup technology! Helen is a tremendous babe, plus Lakshmi Chhaya and Muhammed Rafi provide that delicious 'Ghost World' appetizer.

With terrible camerawork and and a very oddly written screenplay, "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" is one of the weaker entries in the series, but also has the best climax of them all. The final 30 minutes will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through and I loved every minute of it. However, the first hour is a complete mess and pretty much ruins everything set up in the previous film. As far as mixed bags go, this is one of the most enjoyable, because they knew when to hit the audience hard, even though they failed miserably in other regards. Overall, it's not the best film, but I really enjoyed where it went. It is recommendable for the finale.

JeanPhilippe G (nl) wrote: While not as good as the first Hellraiser and the ending goes a bit overboard, Hellbound is still an above average horror sequel that still offers creepy, off-putting and disturbing imagery.

Jocelyne C (it) wrote: There is something very pure about this movie about loss, longing, guilt and love. The interpretation is sober, yet full of sensitivity, intense and luminous. The decor and the music contribute to the aching feeling of longing for the loved one and to the reflective quality of the characters. It is a movie about our humanity in its most sublime and in its most vulnerable aspects.
