Super B (es) wrote: I didn't see all of it, so this review may be a little off. I saw a 15 minute version at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, where the seats vibrated, water splashed at you and it poked your back. Thankfully, I saw the "back-poker," so I had my back away from the seat. The 3-d imagery was absolutely stunning, and the vibrating seats made me feel like I was in the movie. But the movie was... i don't know. See, all this stuff around you made it feel so cool, that I had NO CLUE about what was going on. And I know this was a "4-D Experience" and all, and it was 15 minutes long, but it followed one story, I know that. Overall, I just wished I'd skipped it and gone explore the aquarium, but sadly, I was with a school group. If your going to see a 4-D thing like this, go see it in Disney World. That stuff is cool.

Hans M (br) wrote: MST3K version. This movie should be Annette Funicello meets the Leakey family, with some kind of prehistoric rock and roll band appearing at some point. Instead it is as dull as watching paint dry and as pretentious as an early Smiths song. Even die-hard Robert Vaughn fans (is there such a thing?) should avoid this stinker. You'd be better off watching "The Pebbles and Bam-Bam Show". The MST3K folks have a bit of a hard time making it funny in the last 20 minutes or so, as the plot drags to a glacial pace, but overall they do a fun job. They do put two hilarious short films at the beginning to pad out the time, and the riffing on those is top notch.

Michael C (au) wrote: Could've been original, especially give its time frame. Instead it feels forced and contrived, as if it were made by a bunch of 50 year old white corporate execs. Then there are things that make no sense at all - why do bullets ricochet off sand and wood? Ice T plays a dog like creature - which is humorous as he comes off as a gang thug dressed up in a dog suit. Could've been a hot movie, instead, it's just a hot mess.

Brian K (us) wrote: There are many ways do describe this film; hokey, corny, low-brow, goofy and finally fun. Its a breeze to watch and Vincent Price does a good job hamming it up.

Eric V (es) wrote: This film was originally a documentary about a group in search of the most extreme haunted houses. But someone decided the documentary wouldn't sell, so they revamped a found footage storyline throughout. Although this gives a clearer story and a filmgoer-friendly ending, the actual documentary is so much better. Unfortunately, the only way I could find it was on the Blu-ray Disc.
