Tyler R (es) wrote: it was awful. the fight scenes were good but the rest of the movie was terrible. bad plot and terrible acting and direction

Mattias E (ag) wrote: Low expectations work in directors Mak & Chong's favour in Overheard, which signals a possible return to former grandness. The thriller format with a minimum of action seems to fit the duo well, and the suspense is handled pretty expertly. The screenplay has some well-written characters and the actual thrill of Overheard mainly consists of catching the good guys gradually slip and wondering how far. The ensemble cast also makes the most out of the written material, Lau Ching Wan being his most professional self here. Flaws include some apparent miscasting and a SARFT-friendly karmic ending. But we're at least spared the embarassment of watching righteous mainland cops being sent in to catch the bad guys.

Jay B (gb) wrote: Very informative. Very thought provoking. If everything presented here is indeed true, we got more issues than I thought. If it's not, the film is well done fiction.

Shawn M (nl) wrote: Gaudy and kinda fun, although it gets old pretty quick.

John L (it) wrote: This is such a romatic film to the last bite! Martina Gadeck is a wonderful actress; and here she make it all work. We see her character's personality unfold like a flower in sunshine! I love this film.

Chris W (kr) wrote: "Angus" is a movie from my childhood that struck all the right chords for me. The relationships between the characters are really genuine and heartfelt. The film carries a lot of weight with its message, and it's a very relatable story. Angus is a "fat kid" and is ridiculed at his school by Rick Sanford... who hasn't been bullied before? That's exactly why this movie works! It's full of awkward laughs, quirky wit and dialogue and it's all wrapped up nicely with a 90s soundtrack, what's not to like here? Recommended.

Benjamin W (br) wrote: A heartwarming story that proves that immigrating to America illegally is only half the battle. And while the natural beauty of the main characters' Guatemala didn't include the persecution, the disparity between the third world and the first was most prevalent in the middle-ground. Still, an interesting look into priorities and the challenges involved with trying to get a better life.

Rebecca A (br) wrote: This is seriously one of the best movies ever. I used to watch this all the time as a little kid. I still do.

Walter C (fr) wrote: I'm not a huge John Wayne fan but, if his older stuff is as fun as this movie then I can understand why people loved western's so much.

Patti W (br) wrote: There are very few movies that I will watch more than once but Sister Act is worthy of reruns. I give it 11 donuts and Cory gives it a baker's dozen.
