Claudette A (fr) wrote: Well, I really didn't get this film, maybe that's because I was only half watching it. But reading the reviews...... it appears to be a decent film.

Anya S (jp) wrote: I cannot get enough of this movie. I loved the story, there was something that felt true and honest. This is something to see if you understand literary reference, if you don't then a lot of the movie will be lost on you.

Eric H (us) wrote: Overall, it is safe to say that "Cabaret" is an delightful movie that comes across being the musical of all musicals.. Bob Fosse created a brilliant masterpiece, but it was released in bad timing because when it came out, another heavy came into full effect, "The Godfather." If you never seen it yet, you don'y know what you're missing. For those who love high energy films like "Moulin Rouge" or "Chicago", then this type of movie might be your cup of tea. It will surely leave you awestruck for a very long time.

When he is released, he heads to his hometown where he is split on what direction to take. His friends get him a place to stay and local job, while his mother figure recommends he goes back to school. Meanwhile, his girlfriend arrives in town and has his little girl with her that he has never met. His head is on the verge of exploding as he struggles with what to do with all these responsibilities when he just wants to become a rock star and become rich."He never admitted he had a wife to me."Robert Mulligan, director of To Kill a Mockingbird, The Man in the Moon, Summer of '42, Same time Next Year, Kiss Me Goodbye, Clara's Heart, and The Rat Race (1960), delivers Baby, the Rain must Fall. The storyline for this picture is compelling with some good twists. The acting is first rate and the cast includes Steve McQueen, Lee Remick, Don Murray, Paul Fix, and Ruth White. "Why do I do these things?I saw the previews for this on Movies! While watching another picture and had to DVR it. This was a wonderful movie with a very eccentric lead performance from McQueen. This definitely wasn't his best movie, but it was a unique side of him on display. I recommend seeing this once. "Baby you better treat me right!"Grade: B

Daniel K (kr) wrote: 3: I've always thought it was a bit hokey, but it can be rather inspiring if one is in the right mood. It's obviously not a labor of love for Ford, but he certainly doesn't phone it in either. He is far too good for that. The difference between Fort Apache - and the other two cavalry pictures he agreed to do in order that he could make the picture he wanted - and The Quiet Man is striking, but that isn't to say that Fort Apache doesn't have it's worth. Fonda is superb as always and Wayne gives a brash performance as well. It's so incredibly obvious in virtually every frame and with every character that this is a John Ford western. No one else makes them quite like he did. The Monument Valley settings are spectacular as always, and by this time they are quite familiar. The same could be said of the stable of character actors of course. Quality through and through.
