Matteo L (kr) wrote: I saw the Thay version after the American remake and I can assure that this one is long way better..I enjoyed the final!

Nicolas B (br) wrote: Matthew Vaughn directional debut is intense, exciting and really, really British (especially the ending).

Grg W (au) wrote: a decent comedy about two aging couples having trouble in their marriages. billy bob thornton plays literally the same exact character he's played in the last 10 years, a douchebag who really doesn't care about anyone but himself. his wife is played by a beautiful natasha richardson, who is insecure about her appearance, despite her obvious beauty. and then there's the other couple played by a very dumb patrick swayze and a gorgeous charlize theron. the twist is that billy bob and charlize theron are having an affair during this entire movie. i don't know how billy bob keeps getting all these gorgeous women. he's the biggest jerk on the planet. basically, the two couples go on vacation to reno, but their secret comes out eventually, and they spend their time trying to fix it. it kind of makes you feel bad for laughing sometimes, but overall it works. some highlights are the scenes with david koechner as the bellboy, and a stunning penelope cruz as a prostitute.

Johnny B (jp) wrote: I think this is a case of hearing so many bad things that you get your expectations really low, and then you end up actually rather enjoying the movie. I didn't realize that this was told pseuo-documentary style, and to be honest I think that hurts the movie. But it's still a cool idea and it's rather funny.

sally a (ag) wrote: This is the last film of the master Akira Kurasawa. The story is about going home, go back to the place we come from. In the story, man wasn?t ready to come home yet. so? we wait?

Joel C (jp) wrote: Not a bad movie, it's funny in parts, yes it's a cheap movie so what? it's still a good movie, definitely recommended for gorehounds much like myself! 3 and a half stars!

Adam H (es) wrote: Terror is an extremely interesting film for a couple of different reasons, the first of which is nobody ever remembers the first two tales. ?Amelia? is that good. Even in the commentary, William F. Nolan ? who only wrote the screenplay for the first two tales ? mentions that people would tell him how much they loved the Zuni fetish doll story in Terror, and he just got to a point where he would thank them rather than explain that he didn?t write that part. Nolan is no slouch himself, responsible for such screenplays as Logan?s Run and Burnt Offerings, among numerous other books and screenplays.
