Michael C (ru) wrote: A film not quite sure whether to be serious or over-indulgent, that suffers from this indecisiveness. It could have potentially succeeded well as either, more easily the latter, but in the end, an overall lacking of self-awareness is the downfall of this film.

Its not entirely a sport movie but much other content also with a pretty good story. Overall a well made movie.

Abel Y (gb) wrote: Bobby (Joseph Mazzello) represents a child-like wonder yet to come to fruition and channels the need of escapism from the desolation of wonders. This film's protagonists, brothers Mike (Elijah Wood) and Bobby, are essentially the heart and soul and the bond they share has proven to be very strong. It almost felt like they are the 1992 version of the Elric brothers. The child-like wonder and awe that the film provides is very enchanting and beautiful to look at. Thank you, Richard Donner.

When he refuses to transport illegal contraband for a local haulage form, his life becomes a misery. Finally, when he can take no more its time to clean up the trucking industry the vigilante way. Great cast Slim Pickens and the legend that is Dick Millier. Would make a great double feature with 'Eye of the Tiger'.

As someone who: 1) is an atheist and 2) spent some time living in a Christian household who regularly goes to the church, I loved how it playfully mimicked Christians behavior. It's an average comedy drama with a formulaic storyline. It plays very safe, but it has some really good laughs. Believe Me is predictable, but not an awful movie. Generic, unmemorable, but funny.
