Scott W (nl) wrote: Parts of this felt like Hard Knocks: Draft Edition. Which is a compliment, because I like Hard Knocks. The inner workings of draft day unfold in an interesting way, even if it takes a while to get to the payoff. What kept me from liking this more is that all of the non-draft stuff is terrible. The relationship scenes with Jennifer Garner didn't fit at all. Same with the Ellen Burstyn scenes. Fortunately the last 30 minutes of the movie is the best part, so it leaves you with a good impression at the end. Side note: it's funny that the first person listed in the cast on IMDB is Chris Berman.

Nick P (kr) wrote: What initially felt like an annoyingly linear drama about a wannabe superhero that nobody wants or needs...eventually becomes a little gem of a romantic drama. Not sure what it is, but something in this film eventually clicks with originality and importance. Makes you question what really makes people "normal"? Is it their morals and what is in their hearts? Or is it more sadly, realistically, the lack of imagination that one has. The films definitely does something right by leaving us the opportunity to ask questions long after it is over, I just wish it got to this point a little sooner, which would have made it seem a little less like a boring sitcom (in the first half)

Eric L (mx) wrote: It's at the BYU Library... and at the local library. This was a film chosen for a movie night at the Acupressure Institute, a school that I respect. They were giving credit for anatomy and physiology for watching it. So, as I am learning this, maybe I should see this.

Petros T (ca) wrote: Nothing much on offer really. The main idea is quite interesting but that's not the case with the film's execution, or the story's evolution for that matter. Mark Conrad is an interesting character and Jurgens is a fitting choice to portray him, yet the whole experience remains pretty unrewarding on all levels: action, romance, humour or drama.
