(ca) wrote: Does it well with the vulnerable and wobbly protagonist who's not either of Dwayne Johnson or Rambo while on his quest for revenge. Stunning cinematography. Sincere efforts by all actors. Could have done better on pacing and story.

(fr) wrote: With the amount of great films in this series, the dream child (while enjoyable) was a serious downgrade. With the rebirth of Freddy, they did something completely confusing and I didn't understand it. Unlike the rest of the series (aside from 2) the acting aside from englund was incredibly poor, Lisa Wilcox was actually pretty good in the previous film, so what happened? Its script felt so generic, nothing aside from englunds lines didn't feel forced. But where the film succeeds is the incredibly creative cinematography, effects and dream sequences. All the dreams are so creative and are just so cool to watch. The amount of creativity that goes into these films are outstanding and that's why these films are better than most horror films. So in the end, the dream child is an enjoyable film and its incredibly creative but its acting and dialogue got in the way. It gets a 5.6/10
