One of the best independent movies I've seen in a long time. The kid is lanky and squirrely and infinitely likable. The girl he meets is nice looking and also likable. We the viewer know the boy is sick but he never tells anyone so there is this great dramatic irony throughout. You just want him to tell the damn girl! There's nothing to dislike about this. Just a sweet, thoughtful, independent romance.

However does not speak for all residents of second life and I hope most people realize that these are stories of extremes...even though they probably wont because most people are ignorant like that. I play second life I do not look for real life love there nor do I do the sl family thing like the weird ones do..and I only play for a couple hours a day at the most and I typically do not play everyday... so there are ppl out there that play sl that have a real life too.

(nl) wrote: I don't really understand how critics loved this movie. It's not horribly bad, but I find that the big problem is the film's pacing. The film constantly alludes to a battle that happens later in the film, but spends half of it hanging around in the soldiers' quarters. It seems very pretentious that the film delays the fighting, but then again, a lot of historical films did this, and probably still do this today. To top it all off, the film is riddled with historical inaccuracies, to the point that I can't actually go into detail. Meanwhile, the performances are actually quite good, though the film's horrid pacing does not help the cause. The only thing that does help, however, are the film's picturesque visuals, which bring the film's setting to life when the acting fails. This is the kind of film that tries to be a grand historical recreation, but it suffers because of this pretention of grandeur. After all, if I can't enjoy the grandeur, then what's so grand about it?

No joke, one of the best action movies I have seen In a long time. he Film had that David Carradine Kung Fu storline arch, but I rather say it felt more as if Bruce Lee was in Kung Fu instead. The skill level of Michael Jai White in this movie was set @ high level, and did not disappoint. The power of this film came across the screen and in you're face. Massive political and social overtones through out the movie, splashed between action that you wanted to see more then once. Why this movie is not a TV Series on HBO or Showtime is beyond me. A powerful black male superhero was a breath of fresh air, Michael Jai White not playing the role of servant or side kick. Nona Gaye was beautiful and strong in this movie, and wanted to see her in a part two in this film ASAP. The idea to invest in evil, greed, and to promote genocide within ones community will just get you a visit from Mr Bone.( That would be the the opposite of a good day!! ) The Film had a complete independent we made this vibe to it and budget for this film my guess was at the low end, but it made the movie even more gritty. This would be a great Comic Book Novel if was not one already.Cult Classic status is just around the corner for this movie. After watching this movie I only had one question. Why did Tyler Perry hire him self to play Alex Cross not Michael Jai White? Alex Cross would have been Michael Jai White's ''Return Of The Dragon''.
