(ca) wrote: Rating: 58%Though its cast and set pieces are undeniably impressive, cringy dialogue and a clichd, boring script let down The Running Man.
(es) wrote: it's nice to have a more relatable and relevant content dressed up in a standard teen comedy/end of high school format. it has some actually funny moments but stands mostly on its balance of addressing issues but without making a big fuss. the somewhat forced plot devices (most of Michael's actions) could use some work. so whilst the plot driven message of "you're gay.... so what?" is quite forced, the intentional 'meta' construction of this ideal through the movie is welcomely received.

(it) wrote: This movie was ridiculously cute! Almost too perfect! If only all families were as loving and supportive of their children as these parents! It was a fun movie with lots of cute moments and inuendos. They acting was so so possibly cause the dialogue was a bit cheesy from time to time. Still enjoyable for what it was!

(au) wrote: The classic 'get a second chance at life by returning in a recently dead person's body' story that is so good, it has been remade at least twice.
(ag) wrote: Taking the homage and nostalgia for the 80s to a whole different level, this is a loose reimagining of The Karate Kid via ping pong; with nods and winks to Porky's and Back to the Future, it is also plotted, written and filmed totally and convincingly in the 80s style. It has its moments and the director/writer is obviously passionate about the subject matter and the era it was set in. The story is at times over-earnest but it embraces its corniness and wears it proud like the main character's bright red polyester trousers. With acting that is either uneven or ingenious depending on how you look at it, this is slight, fluffy fun and not without its very special kind of charm.
