(mx) wrote: I watched Suicide Girls Must Die because I thought it was a found-footage horror film starring the girls from the eponymous erotica site. Unfortunately, it was nothing more than a slow, sometimes funny but mostly boring faux slasher film that never features any death scenes and instead focuses on the girls talking and being nude. Not even the nudity was enough to make it interesting....

(jp) wrote: Philip Kaufman's adaptation of Doug Wright's play presents a portrait of the Marquis de Sade that is brave, intensely sexual, humorous, and most of all, intriguing. All of the performances are terrific, from Kate Winslet's virginal but rebellious Madeleine to Joaquin Phoenix's troubled Coulmier to Geoffrey Rush's wild performance as the Marquis. A very good film.

(kr) wrote: Formula Elvis fare with lots of singing and lots of girls! How can you really give an opinion on this kind of movie. You either like them or you don't. This one is an OK time killer. Most Elvis fans will love it, others.....it's callled "Girl Happy", you do the math!
(jp) wrote: Yawn. Schmaltzy love story tries to add some realism to the formula but stills comes across as stilted and far-fetched. The two leads aren't bad, though it's hard to care about any of the characters. The scenes played for laughs, especially those involving the stock ethnic family situations, are the most painful.
