BobbiLeigh E (nl) wrote: Alright movie...good for "in the background" while you're doing something else!

Ross M (ca) wrote: Endearing if old-fashioned, almost Disney-esque tale. Lacks any real depth and feels very much made for TV but both Danny Glover and Charles S Dutton give good performances and the soundtrack is great.

Jesper K (ag) wrote: Mediocre danish humour...

Pauline L (es) wrote: The film has its sappy, predictable moments, but the gorgeous cinematography, apt direction and fine acting more than compensate. Caviezel convincingly projects Jones's sincerity, flashes of anger, and bursts of pain.

Don S (ca) wrote: This film has no internal logic. A group of supposed pacifists go underground in the mines to practice shooting their pistols... The law puts a teenage murderer under the supervision of one of these teenagers (who is supposedly a pacifist - well, you get the idea). Not much happens other than a group of misfits getting off (metaphorically) with their guns. The movie ends like you think it will: badly.

Scott R (es) wrote: Crazy that they made this back in the day. Drugs, murder, suicide and love, it was thoroughly realist and depressing. Sinatra led well and Novak as beautiful.

Jesse T (ru) wrote: A reasonably well made thriller with lots of snow and darkness. The plot was a bit derivative, and the outcome not unpredictable, but well filmed with a good scary atmosphere about it. Nice location shooting and sets.

Theo M (kr) wrote: The best installment in the franchise. A neat action/thriller flick with a great cast-member team up.

Jeff B (ag) wrote: Just a wonderful film stem to stern, a Leone classic. Great cast, great story, and of course it's riddled with the Leone classic touch: the close ups, the drawn out tension building scenes, and of course just the true grit of all his westerns is all here. If you're just looking for continuous action, you won't find it here. But the slow, measured pace is one element of the film that creates such impact. Bronson, Robards, Fonda, and Cardinale give great performances. What else can you say but epic Sergio Leone

Mark T (jp) wrote: Bad acting, naff special effects and a number of poor casting choices, not least of all Paul Telfer as Hercules who seems to have been cast merely because he looks good with his shirt off rather than any acting ability ! Hercules is not meant to be a pretty boy but a man's man !
