Amilcar A (de) wrote: How a movie like this gets made is a mystery. How it actually gets to theaters is truly an example of good salesmanship and persistence from the creators and the studio.Falcon Rising is essentially a made for TV movie. It's the type of film you see in the USA Network on Thursday at 3AM. For starters, who the hell is Michael Jai White? This movie is so cliched, abusive of canned action storyboards and extreme stupidity that it should be absolutely terrible. Herein lies the irony. It is terrible but it's also very entertaining. Many of us have seen far more boring movies with A list actors and from good directors. This junket is actually easy on the eyes, there are plenty of good fights and bullets and above all, the overall product works. Granted this is not a movie that anyone should pay to see, let alone choose over a million other options. However given the minuscule expectations and the absurdity of the content, it works and it's enjoyable. Go figure.

Carey was very freaky in this movie and Carrell made an impressive turn to realizing his shallow ways throughout the movie making his character very lovable. Fun, light, and good humor with a few sick sequences from Carey. Overall very much liked it.

stefano l (us) wrote: Well, it's really difficult to find some words to describe this movie. Mainly because I found it unbielievably superficial, although the topics were everything but superficials. It was completely despicable for al the 2 hours, except maybe in the final road trip. There were so many scenes in which you could tell: what the hell was the writer thinking when he wrote this shit? Not that the cast's work was memorable, but with something so poor to portrait, how can you raise the level of a movie?

Michael Keaton gives a great dramatic performance as the dying man. Nicole Kidman is also great as his wife. This is a very touching film. The ending is simply beautiful as the man's childhood fantasy finally comes true. If you like sad heartbreaking films see this one.

Kilgore T (es) wrote: A hilarious action comedy jam packed with ludicrous stunts. One of filmmaker Ron Howard's first films; non stop car chases, collisions, auto thefts, explosions and laughs. If you can get past the shoddy editing, you should not be disappointed with this film.
Steve M (ag) wrote: More fun and enjoyable on a high scale of camp than sweet movie. Nothing makes sense but in the world of avant garde dose it really need to? Very funny.

Ashley H (us) wrote: Brake is a disappointing film. It is about a Secret Service Agent is held captive in the trunk of a car and endures mental and physical torture as terrorists attempt to extract information for their plot against the President of the United States. Stephen Dorff and Chyler Leigh give awful performances. The script is badly written. Gabe Torres did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.
Kevin M W (mx) wrote: The story exists mainly to showcase the songs (only two of which you'll recognize), all done with that patented style of pandering that was Irving Berlin, and the stars endeavor to sell the product. The thing rides on their charisma then, the brotherly bickering between Crosby and Astaire, and for that it ain't too bad. Crosby smoothly delivers White Christmas, and Astaire contributes the memorable firecracker dance routine.
