(mx) wrote: this moviw sucked. The only reason it gets any stars is for the kd lang soundtrack.
(us) wrote: Thoughtful character study of 2 lost souls, obviously inspired by Pygmalion. It thankfully also avoids the mawkish Hollywood-style happy ending.Michael Caine and Julie Walters are pitch perfect.
(mx) wrote: Originally released in 3D, this movie looks cheap and fails to make any real impact. The 3D is barely noticeable and would have at least added the novelty factor had it been utilised effectively. Should be retitled "Adventures in the forgotten zone".
(jp) wrote: Heres a cool idea, take THE Universal monster and make him a giant, Toho style. Frankenstein Conquers The World is a unique and very cool film. I havnt seen this since i was a kid and this scared the crap out of me then. Well 30 years later it doesnt scare me but i can see why i scared me as a 7 year old. The Frankenstein "Monster" is pretty creepy. Especially when he goes total savage at the end. The story is pretty awsome. I loved how they got the Frank monster here. And they throw in Baragon too. The showdown at the end between Franky and Baragon is awsome. Its well shot, choreographed and the sets are great. As always theres the minitures and they become a real treat when theres a dioll thrown in to represent an actor. This is essential veiwing for giant monster fans. This is one of the best.

(gb) wrote: As the directorial debut, this film is great. Then consider that that Kurosawa-san made this during WWII (all media was propaganda) and it seems astounding. The story makes the point that there is a difference between bullying strength and benevolent strength; sage wisdom in a time when the Japanese military expected to conquer and retain much of the Pacific rim.
(kr) wrote: One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
(ag) wrote: A brilliant sequel the action scenes were excellent, The special effects were again spot on, The 3D Was good but there was no need for it but in some scenes it was well done, Overall a must see, Forget the negative reviews this is one of the best films of the year, Maybe the first film was better in many other ways but the 2h 35min went very quick, I didn't want it to end.
