Captain Ranvir is assigned the task of apprehending two terrorists named Shaka and Dara. Upon arrival in the region, he meets with and falls in love with Radhika, the daughter of Rajasaheb, who also is a Mantri. The latter approves of him, and arranges his wedding with his daughter. Before the engagement could take place, Ranvir finds out that he has a rival in Shaka, who was in love with Radhika before, and is all set to prevent this marriage at any and costs. Ranvir decides to postpone his wedding until such time he arrests Shaka and his associates - a decision that will not only pit him against well-armed terrorists, but also result in the abduction of a bus-load of Vaishnodevi devotees - which include Radhika and her Bua.

Steve W (it) wrote: A ridiculous but hilarious romantic comedy. After her boyfriend moves to the States to study, his girlfriend Mini Mo becomes a compulsive eater and balloons to 300 pounds. When he declares his love for her and reminds her of the vow to meet each other 10 years later, Mini teams up with her fat friend in order to lose 200 pounds in 6 months.Despite the ugly fat suits, the actors/actresses carry the movie with lots of heartfelt and funny moments. Despite the fake hands, it was simply hilarious to see Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng with huge bellies that jiggle and double chins. The movie has tons of hilarious scenes, such as Mini telling Fatso not to eat so loud while she is dieting. It works its way around in a very nice plot, especially with Fatso literally "fighting" to help her lose weight.Funny, sweet, and never boring, Love on a Diet is light on plot but heavy on heart.

Charles F (ru) wrote: This is an exceptional movie. It is well-crafted, stylish, and engaging to the very end - indeed, evidence Mr. Romero is not only a versatile director but shows a concern with the human condition as well. This story can be interpreted in many different ways: as revenge narrative - where justice is a dish best served cold - cinema of desperation, art house, apocalyptic, etc. Whatever form it takes it leaves fear, loss, and destruction in its wake. Mr. Romero, moreover, treats his audience to a taste of the familiar: vigilante justice (our protagonist dons a cape for heaven's sake). But what about those other areas of exploration: such as, the drive for self-recognition, the nature of power and corruption, the desire for freedom and individual expression, and ultimately the will to dominate. These themes do not occur at different times or separately from one another; they are deeply intertwined, part of a larger network of being, something that is made of many parts and yet is somehow more than the combination of its parts. The film is flawed in that it romanticizes its subject and distances itself from the general character of human consciousness. It sure as hell is a lot of fun to watch, though. A surefire success.

Randy T (mx) wrote: Good stuff. It's been quite a few years since the last time I saw a Harry Belafonte film, I had forgotten just what a tremendous actor he really is (was). This is a noir classic that will hold your attention wire to wire. Note: Did the ending remind anyone else of White Heat? ("Top of the world, Ma!")

Jeff B (mx) wrote: I like the two main stars, but the plot is barely there and the film is pretty short. It doesn't even take advantage of being set in Macao--it just is... for some reason. Not terrible, but not good either.

Anne F (mx) wrote: A family in the interwar years, nothing more and nothing less, centred on the family home. Very effective storytelling and wonderful acting.

Trenton R (ca) wrote: Voice acting is passable and the animation is undeniably great, but this to me is the perfect example of all the flaws of any DC animated movie. The swearing and vulgarity is painfully forced and not needed, characters are bland and are just action figures punching each other and shouting out one liners, and the there is no depth or entertainment in it's story. Justice League: War is defiantly worth a skip for everyone.
