Don't Go in the Woods

Four backpackers decide to take a hike in the mountains of Utah. But within the woods lurks a killer. But who...or what...is it? The lazy local sheriff blames bears. But the escalating body count seems to point to a human killer. Ignoring the warning signs, our campers remain lost in the woods...alone...awaiting their fate.

Four young campers, Craig, Peter, Ingrid and Joanie, back-pack through the mountains for a relaxing weekend in the wilderness. They are out camping in broad daylight, while someone else is killing tourists in the woods. Craig warns the others not to go into the woods alone. The hillsides are crawling with fat women huffing up hillsides, nerdy bird-watchers, and young couples. Most of whom meet gruesome ends at the hands of a deranged and growling back-woodsman with a sharp spike - who announces his presence by shaking the nearest branch and whooping. The 'happy' campers don't see a man and his wife being chucked off a cliff whilst they splash about in the river below. They enter a forest which becomes denser and darker as they progress. Peter and Ingrid fear that they are lost. Something large suddenly comes lunging forward with a gleaming machete. Craig slips dead to the ground as the machete cuts him up. Peter and the others flee screaming into the forest. The rest of the day and ... . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Kyle H (es) wrote: Very stereotypical WWII film. The acting was stiff and pretty bad overall. A few of the plot "twists" were just plain stupid.

Adam A (ru) wrote: "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" yet again travel on familiar waters in this yet action-packed adventure. It is unfortunate though that every new element they pull in, feels rather dated, unfocused and pointless the least.

Andrew B (kr) wrote: Some beautiful shots and sequences, but this works more like a peculiar mosaic than a film. Though it's ripe with some strong narration and wonderful quotes by the narrator (whether or not their significance to the footage is immediately understood), it seems to lack a cohesive arc that would possibly attach the viewer more to the events. Almost works as a history lesson, but lacks the rhetoric to meet its potential.

JD (gb) wrote: This movie is just crap beyond crap! Deuces Wild is a movie that likes to pretend that it's a bad ass Crime movie, but really it's just a poorly acted piece of shit. I don't think a single thing in this movie was original and I don't think any actors in this played a good role. If you think this movie is just as good as The Outsiders or Rumble Fish your wrong, if you think the movie is just as good as Training Day or Narc your even more wrong this movie is just a rip-off of all those films. Deuces Wild is a piece of crap movie that I will never recommend anyone to see, if you want to watch a good Crime movie watch The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, Training Day or Narc because those are good movies, this is not a good movie so please avoid it at all costs.

Keir B (us) wrote: No, it's not as good as the original, and in many ways it feels a little unnecessary, but Irvin Kershner understood the original and has plastered his own style across this thoughtful sequel.

Matthew P (br) wrote: ...just a unique, fun, over-the-top version of the post-apocalypse that doesn't take the genre too seriously (although I don't know if I'd go as far as to call this a spoof). I'd say, if you liked Buckaroo Banzai, you'd probably like this movie too. Colourful and visually appealing. Nice use of locations. Has its own unique style. Is this a smart movie or a dumb movie? I'm not sure I know the answer to that. Certainly takes a minimalist approach to storytelling and characterization. Also: SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE TANK GIRL MOVIE.

Grant S (kr) wrote: Set during the Korean War, two surgeons, Captains "Hawkeye" Pierce (played by Donald Sutherland) and "Duke" Forrest (Tom Skerritt), join the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH), located three miles from the front lines. Both are draftees and care little for military protocols and conventions. They are soon joined by surgeon even more anarchic and insubordinate in his attitude, Captain "Trapper" John McIntyre (Elliott Gould). The unit's commander is the laid back-yet-efficient Lt Colonel Henry Blake (Roger Bowen). He is assisted by Corporal "Radar" O'Reilly (Gary Burghoff). Hawkeye, Duke and Trapper soon have the camp running to their rather non-military tune but run into Major Frank Burns (Robert Duvall) and the new chief nurse Major Margaret O'Houlihan (Sally Kellerman), both of whom being by-the-book permanent military types. Hawkeye, Duke and Trapper set out to undermine the pair. High jinks ensue.A wonderfully funny and subversive military satire, directed by Robert Altman. Some hilarious dialogue and scenes (the football scenes are side-splittingly funny), with the whole movie having a delightfully irreverent and anarchic tone. Against the general backdrop of comedy we also have some reasonably graphic operating theatre scenes. This shows the grim reality of what the characters are facing, and why they need humour to remain sane. It's not all satire...Robert Altman directs with a loose grip (to the point that apparently many of the lines were ad-libbed) and this helps the movie. The sense of disorder is heightened.Even more famous than this movie is the TV series that it spawned. That lasted 11 years.

Dann M (de) wrote: Gruesome and ultraviolent, Saw II takes the series into torture porn territory. This time criminal mastermind Jigsaw has trapped 8 people inside of a house and exposed them to a deadly nerve gas, and to get the antidote each of them must complete a task that's been specifically designed for them. Starring Donnie Wahlberg, Shawnee Smith, and Tobin Bell, the casting is pretty good. However, the characters aren't that likable or sympathetic; which is probably intentional as Jigsaw has been rewritten as an antihero who's punishing wicked people for their wrongdoings. Yet as gratuitous as the violence is, there's a strange morbid fascination to the traps. And, director Darren Lynn Bousman does a great job at building suspense. Though Saw II goes more for exploitation than horror, it still delivers plenty of frightening thrills.
