(es) wrote: Not a bad little movie; but nothing to write home about or even recommend to others. It's a sweet love story about a blossoming love relationship between two middle-aged misfits. Acting istn't bad, but the script is a bit on the corny side.

(br) wrote: Despite some negative reviews this is not too bad a film. Pretty much does as it says on the tin - gay man and his attempts to bring to justice the killer of his lover who may be his neighbour who is a nutball fundementalist christian. The morality of the outcome is questionable and there are some too-neat twists. There is a good montage of the two types of preaching - the thunder and damnation of the fundementalist church and the all encompassing God is love of the church attended by the gay couple's family.
(au) wrote: "Kangaroo Jack" contains poor performances, a thin plot line and typical clich laughs to win the hearts of children all at the same time involving violence and dirty jokes to keep parents at bay, too. It's a bizarre mixture that just doesn't work.
(ag) wrote: Badly done in practically every way. Whitaker stole and (partially) saved this one.
(fr) wrote: One of the worst attempts at a sequel I've ever seen. The actors are absolutely terrible, especially the annoying crazy old lady that they finally kill but end up bringing back in another role..The new leader is not scary at all. This movie is so bad it's pretty funny at times.
(us) wrote: Lush, lavish and bursting with style, not unlike the titular homestead, however unlike the Peak itself - Del Toro's latest is totally and painfully empty. Full of undeveloped characters, jolting, criminally bad dialogue and actors who we've seen do much better in much better projects...stay away from Crimson Peak.
