Balraaj is a very open-minded man who sees his daughter-in-law as a real daughter, whose happiness is destroyed after her husband dies. Despite sadness and sorrow, Balraaj wants his daughter-in-law to smile again, so he decides to re-marry her to a lovely nice man who's always been in love with her in silence... How awesome is having a father-in-law like that!!
Helena K (nl) wrote: The plot feels contrived, formulaic, and rather listless despite its attempts to be singular. I haven't seen Vincent Kartheiser (I actually prefer to refer to him as Connor or Pete; he just doesn't look like a Vincent to me) play any part badly, and his turn as shit-on Mason Mullich is no exception. Taryn Manning, too, really makes herself at home in even the most uncomfortable of roles as she does here as Danny Voss, a directionless small-town girl stifled by her possessive mother. Michelle Forbes, as aforementioned possessive mother, is just as unaffectedly creepy as she is on True Blood, but without all the sex and murder. Mare Winningham, it should be said, knocks the goddamned ball out of the park in her role as Layla Mullich, Mason's quiet-yet-clearly-on-the-verge mother. It's a visually beautiful film as well. Great composition, colors, use of negative space. It's like a moving photograph; I really enjoyed looking at it.
Baurushan J (it) wrote: The story is set in the near future where a technology named quantum tunneling has been invented to travel through parallel universes. The abuse of this ability by criminal elements has led to the formation of the Multi-Verse Authorities, an agency of quantum traveling cops who apprehend violators of inter-dimensional laws. Former agent Gabriel Yulaw played by Jet Li goes rogue murdering his own kind in every universe and becoming more and more powerful but the final Gabriel Yulaw also played by Jet Li who remains in our universe and is living with his wife played by Carla Gugino is still remained to be dead and he won't allow that as he is also becoming stronger. Hot on the trail of the evil Yulaw, are former partner Harry Roedecker played by Delroy Lindo and Evan Funsch played by Jason Statham. The two Gabriel Yulaws must fight to see who can become THE ONE! The movie was a brilliant creative story but yes, I had the same problems that everyone else had. 1. It borrows elements from other science-fiction movies like The Matrix and by doing this, this film is not a tribute/homage nor a parody/spoof and 2. Jet Li's martial arts abilities and the storyline is overshadowed by the editing and special effects. The One (2001) gets a 6.5/10.

Premyslaw D (ag) wrote: Well, some people find this movie to be incredibly funny. For me, this was boring as hell and there wasn't even much of funny moments. The dvd may be hard to get, so don't even bother because it's not worth it. I'll try to rewatch this movie some day hoping that I might find something enjoyable, but for now I'm left with over an hour of boring experience.

Guido S (ca) wrote: A gang war breaks out between a Chinese and African American gangs. Jet Li's brother dies and he escapes prison to try and get his revenge. He ends up becoming close to Aaliyah in a sort-of Romeo & Juliet story. That's not the best part but it doesn't matter. The action is pretty solid and there is a good amount of it. Also surprisingly funny with Anthony Anderson. Still a pretty good movie.
