Chris G (ca) wrote: This. . . This is a weird movie. Best synopsis: Doubt meets Lord of the Flies. Eva Green is straight crazy. And also excellent, per usual.

Dominika C (au) wrote: it was ok to watch, but i don't think i'll watch it again.

Bill N (ca) wrote: rubbish!' kilmer spends the day in a park' makes a better title, and guess what the title could double as the plot.

Marilee A (jp) wrote: Chill Channel gives this 4 Stars, I'm being generous with 2 Stars.I should know better to watch any Movie with Sally Kirkland, the Queen of Bad Movies, & Kristin Cavallari from The Hills, in the cast.A really Bad Slasher/Ghost Film, save your time, unless that is what you're into

Dave M (kr) wrote: Titties titties titties. And some bush dying too. Oh did I mention this was a WWII film about a woman's tragic struggle for freedom? Well it was damn good and powerful, actually some parts really turned my stomach. What else could you expect from a Paul Verhouven film besides violence and eroticism? Well, a story for one. A gigantic return to roots from Mr. Verhoeven who showed a lot of maturity while still portraying his signature tastes in blood and body. Really worth seeing for all of you who've been looking for a depressing WW2 film since Saving Private Ryan and The Pianist. I just hope you're tastes aren't bittered by the fact that the majority of the film is spoken in Dutch.

Vessela D (jp) wrote: I really liked the idea of the movie, but it was too slow and boring...

Jamin M (br) wrote: It's James Cameron's blockbuster Titanic. I'm just going to say it. I freakin' love this movie. Yeah, say what you want, but I think the film is pretty good. I honestly don't why this movie has received backlash. There's absolutely nothing so wrong with the movie that it needs such harsh criticism, at least to me. What I absolutely love about this film is how James Cameron recreated the wreck. It looked so well-done. The special effects are very good and Cameron truly makes me feel the terror of the event. The acting and casting choices were good. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio do good jobs. Billy Zane is an over-the-top but enjoyable villain. The romance is also cute and believable. The film does suffer from somewhat weak writing, mainly dealing with the fact that Jack and Rose constantly refer to each other by name. Seriously. Couldn't they say "sweetheart" or "my love" or something? And there are some corny lines. There's also the famous debate over whether or not Jack could have survived the wreck, the answer to which is yes. This film really didn't deserve its backlash. I even saw a review that said "the most dreadful piece of work I've ever seen in my entire life" Seriously? There are worse films out there than this. Yeah, it's corny. Yeah, it's clich (C)d . But I don't care. Titanic is personally one of my most favorite movies. It's visually stunning with likeable characters and a sweet love story. It has its flaws and it's not perfect, but it's pretty enjoyable
