Devin G (it) wrote: There something here, there really is, but then the people making the movie decide to take that aspect out half way through and you get one of the most annoying and pointless horror films of 2011.

Melissa E (ca) wrote: Predictable... Have seen MUCH better acting by almost ALL of these actors...

Augustin C (gb) wrote: Although comedic and absurd, the movie presents pieces of life. Life within the communist era, Ceausescu's variant. Realistic enough to bring back tragic memories...

Adam J (au) wrote: The film is not a linear experience so it will leave many confused and frustrated. However, if the viewer actually invests into this gem they will surely see the beauty and genius that was invested in 'Certified Copy'. Outstanding movie

James H (au) wrote: A gay, frustrated with being gay, travels to the past after a car accident. He is magically transported back to his high school days, where everyone is gay, and being straight is not accepted. So far, so good. Interesting idea. I thought it could prove to be interesting. But then the gay guy turns straight. He then makes a stand and fights for straight rights. It lost me there. Everyone then starts admitting they have straight feelings, a begin becoming straight. I suppose somewhere in there is a moral. I was too appalled to bother searching for it. Another promising idea wasted. I suppose the chances of a well acted gay movie, that is professionally done is about as likely as the cubs winning the pennant

Michael A (es) wrote: I have never, in all my movie watching seen a "film" that relies so heavily on people running down hallways and, more importantly, people needlessly crawling through ventilation shafts. The time spent on both is mind-numbing.

Alex r (us) wrote: Effective horror anthology, Twilight Zone-The Movie is a memorable horror film that ranks among the finest of anthologies. This type of horror film is hard to pull off due to the fact that it's multiple stories that are designed to scare the audience. This ranks among the finest anthology films in the genre and overall it's a highly entertaining film, one that every horror fan should watch. The film boasts an impressive cast, who each bring a terrific quality that makes the film that much better. There is not one weak story presented in the film, however there are at least one truly stronger than the last one, but that's a matter of opinion. I've never seen the show, but to those like me, who's never experienced the show, this film is sure to satisfy. In terms of sheer terror, Twilight Zone: The Movie is a very atmospheric, well executed genre film that is highly entertaining and thrilling. This is an essential anthology in the genre, and like I stated, is one of the best that I have seen. Well crafted, and executed, this anthology is a classic, and boasts impressive stories that are sure to delight any fan of whatever horror genre. This is a stunning piece of cinema, one that is sure to thrill any viewer of film, and it boasts some truly terrifying and memorable stories. I highly recommend this film, and it's a fine anthology, that set the standards of all films of this genre to follow. With effective stories, and a good cast, Twilight Zone: The movie is a great horror film that you shouldn't pass up.

Mike T (br) wrote: A bizarre misfire from a talented line-up of artists. With such a towering amount of potential, it is peculiar to see Bobby Deerfield as what it is - a mess. Lacking in any sort of distinguishable narrative or character thread, the movie plods off in numerous directions and leaves the audience behind. The most interesting aspect of it is Al Pacino's understated acting in the title role. Pacino has stated that out of all the roles he's played, this one is the closest to himself in reality. It is evident that he has a deep understanding of this character, but his depth and nuance is lost in a chaotically executed picture.

Luke S (kr) wrote: One of George Romero's few departures from the zombie genre, "Martin" is also one of his best films. Thoughtful, engaging, and character-driven, it's further proof that you don't need a lot of money to tell a good story and make a great film.

Ro I (us) wrote: Pretty long, it took me 2 days to watch it. Surprised most of the cast was older...Sissy Spacek, Sam Shepherd, James Gammon, James Garner. Couldn't believe Joey Garza was played by Angel Raphael from "Touched by An Angel."

Jayakrishnan R (ca) wrote: 83%Saw this on 11/3/15All the Kevin Costner Westerns are slow and Open Range is no different, but it's a bit faster. It's good to see that Costner does not play the overblown hero that he usually play on his films, instead gives Robert Duvall a chance to lead. The last 45 minutes of the film is thrilling and the best things about the film is the combination scenes of Costner and Duvall. Annette Bening is also good here.

Fiona K (mx) wrote: The film had a hard to follow story in it and a useless backstory that was hard to understand and tie into the plot. Also there were some continuity errors and lack if explanations. Overall I did like it because it's hard not to like something with Johnny Depp in it.

Jayakrishnan R (gb) wrote: 73%Saw this on 12/7/16The film as a whole cannot retain the impact and the shear dread that its first 40 minutes created all because it resorted to go for a cliched romantic route. However the performances are terrific, but you have to see how a film that started off to be haunting slips away into lows.

Laura S (nl) wrote: A nice attempt that falls quite flat. The casting is all wrong - there is no chemistry between Jenny and Kitty, at first I thought the film was just playing the audience until the big reveal that Jenny is gay but even at the wedding the women can't look each other in the eyes. Kathryn and Alexis are clearly uncomfortable with having to act romantically (let alone sexually) attracted to each other! Jenny's sister has more chemistry with the stranger she just met at the wedding than the brides do. The story is all about Jenny and her interaction with the family which doesn't leave enough of an impact since her romantic relationship is so fake. Why make a movie about a gay wedding that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual couple? Do better at gay baiting Hollywood. A nice "how to be nice to your gay child" movie for conservative parents.
