Ed Wood: Look Back in Angora

A hysterical documentary which uses footage of Ed Wood's movie to tell the story of his life. It may not be a deep analysis, but shows distinctly how Ed's life strongly influenced his own films.

Uriel G (de) wrote: This film recaptures the ancient Middle Earth magic we saw in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy with great special effects, old characters and well-done action sequences, giving us an entertaining film that contains all the essence of Tolkien and Jackson's Middle- earth

Brandy (de) wrote: this movie was the farthest thing from scary. The audio was mixed horribly and whoever filmed it needs to go back to college. All the actors suck, it seemed like they had never took any acting classes, it was very cheesy! and the writers, oh boy the writers, the first 50 minutes were just empty space, and had nothing to do with the plot. and then at the end they all basicly die at once. I found it hillairous on how bad it was, so i would recommend every one to watch it. but not because the great actors or writers, or anybody who worked on that film.

Ovi G (ru) wrote: There's much to admire about actor Richard Roxburgh's directorial debut, Romulus, My Father. A sensitive evocation of a childhood rendered moot by the psychological damages inflicted by troubled parents, the picture has a tranquil, gentle nature about it that's almost soothing, while offering examples of familial terror Roxburgh processes superbly. It's fitting perhaps that a film based on Rai Gaita's memoirs should play rather like a string of memories; we don't remember the past in a linear story but as patches, chapters, moments, sometimes merely fractions of their entirety. The darkness of the story is counterbalanced by some of the most radiantly beautiful cinematography I've seen in a long time. Builds up an emotional head of steam that draws audiences towards it. Enjoy!

Nick B (mx) wrote: It has funny moments and it can be surprisingly uplifting, but overall it is merely okay. Overall it was an okay movie with decent performances.
