Matthew D (br) wrote: A modern update to a classic style of Superman story; saving the world while learning a moral. The animation is a little oddly silted in the quiet scenes, but nice and fluid for the plethora of action sequences. It's those quiet moments, particularly between Lois and Clark, however, where this adaptation really shines.

Adam L (it) wrote: Repetitive and uneven "Mad Monkey Kung Fu" never reaches the heights it is capable of and with each passing sequence of tomfoolery, the humor only threatens to get better. That being said the acrobatic skill of the two leads is hard to brush aside even when this seemingly family-friendly gung fu film meets head-on with visceral mean-spiritedness. Director Liu Chia Liang portrays a master of the monkey fist in his first starring role. Hsiao Ho is a pickpocket cum student cum monkey fist master looking to settle a score with Shaw Brothers baddy Lo Lieh for framing and ordering the crippling of his master.

This film has recently had it's 30 years anniversary and still remains quite current...I mean, even I've heard of it!!Top Gun contains abit of action, love, sadness and triumph. Pete Mitchell aka 'Maverick' played by Tom Cruise as a young cocky/daredevil Navy pilot aiming to be the best of the best. He is the main man in this film. For me, 'Maverick' does become likeable. There are a handful of known actors. Some of the flying scenes lasted slightly too long for me but as I whole I enjoyed the film. Unsure if I'll be rushing out to buy a pair of aviators - young Tom Cruise carried the look well. All in all - a good film, easy viewing for a Saturday evening and a great soundtrack
