We didn't have anything in mind when we made this movie. We had absolutely no money . And I don't mean like when a movie is described as low budget because it cost a couple of million. We literally had nothing. Camelot entertainment cut a rough trailer which cost more than our movie! We were a group of friends who picked up a camera and got together at weekends and tried to make a film. We know all the film's faults better than anyone and we don't tell everyone that it is amazing. It is what it is and under the circumstances we are still pretty proud of what we achieved. We can only get better with experience. After all, if we didn't have Bad Taste then we wouldn't have The Lord of the Rings.

Just heard it's coming out on DVD - AT LAST (I've been waiting), 22 December 2009 10/10 Author: niki-masterson from United States I saw this a year or so ago and it was great. I've mentioned it to many friends and we've been watching for it in theaters or on DVD ever since. I understand it is coming out on DVD in January 2010. I wish it had been released before Christmas, I'd have given copies to my friends as gifts. Seeing it in the theater was great because the audience reaction was fun and infectious. There was so much out loud laughing and other reactions that it made it comfortable to do so myself. Everyone around me seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. It was funny and sad and instructive and - I think, an important movie for people to see; especially in these times. I recommend it highly. See it. You'll be glad you did.

Now I remember there's really only 2 reasons to watch this shitslopper and they're both located right in the middle of Natasha Henstridge's chest. Whatever happened to her? She was smoking hot in this movie (her debut) but after "The Whole Nine Yards" what else did she ever do? The answer...nothing.

Radhika N (mx) wrote: Overrated. Much poorer than the original which had the inimitable Rekha as the title character with Farooq Sheikh and Naseeruddin Shah. Aishwarya and Abhishek are nowhere near a patch on these great actors. This movie seems more a vehicle for their journey to hyped up stardom than a retelling of an old classic. The pathos was just not there. The characters seem frivolous rather than compelling. Suniel Shetty was more convincing than either Aishwarya or Abhishek, which is saying a lot.

Matthew H (jp) wrote: This is a fantastic sci-fi adventure. This has got to be one of the most underrated action films of the 90's. A great blend of 'Lord of the Flies' and a prison break movie, this is a character-driven, smart and entertaining movie that deserved greater exposure. What could've been a B-grade stinker is elevated to A-grade fun due to sharp direction, a smart script, great charcaters and great performers. Hunt this little beauty down and settle in for pure cinema enjoyment.

James C (de) wrote: Hellbound is also a must see in this franchise, other than the first film of course. This film is crucial in the sense that the audience now ventures into the "nether region of experience" and sees what it looks and feels like. Improvements from the first film include a faster storyline where we don't have to wait until the end to see Pinhead and his Cenobite friends. The film score is a greater representation of the hellish world and for once, it makes sense. In relation to the franchise, this is one of the go-to films.
