Ever After: A Cinderella Story

A unique 16th century woman, Danielle possesses a love of books, and can easily quote from Sir Thomas More’s Utopia. An intriguing mix of tomboyish athleticism and physical beauty, she has more than enough charm to capture the heart of a prince ... after beaning him with an apple.

Matt C (it) wrote: Universally great reviews for this but I found it pretty hackneyed and very familiar. I love a Father-Son angle but even that left me cold in this one. Just a by the numbers gritty prison drama really.

Joe W (jp) wrote: This one has a great concept but the worst execution ive seen in some time. The movie was really uneven with terrible cgi blood and gore in some parts and a story that defies any logic at points. It was a real chore trying to get through this one. Maybe one of the stupidest endings ive ever watched i seriously laughed it was that bad.

Sharon W (de) wrote: This is a fun movie that explores crossword puzzles and the people who love them. It's much more intriguing than it may sound. The annual crossword championship really pulled me in as I found myself rooting for Al, who has come in third several times but has never won. If you enjoy documentaries then this is a good one to catch.

David L (gb) wrote: I wish I could watch every movie ever made but I sadly don't have the time. I'm not interested in this movie because I don't think I'll like it or don't know enough about it to think I might like it. I may still end up seeing it some day though.

Kassy S (mx) wrote: i might want to see this movie but i'm sure if i did it would change my life and i like it the way it is.

Barbara H (au) wrote: Very disappointing. Almost deliberately gimmicky, the film is also too clever by half (if you'll pardon the pun). By mixing genres, styles and moods, the directors (whose previous film was the excellent documentary Lost In La Mancha) lose their way pretty quickly. I was never sure whether I was meant to take it all seriously or not. Flashbacks, dream sequences, it was all just a bit much. Plus, the promised rock and roll just didn't move me. I was reminded a bit too much at times of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, a film I found original and moving. But in this case, the songs just weren't as good, nor were the main characters sympathetic.

Ashley S (fr) wrote: It was a bit crude for my tastes, but not bad. A bit obnoxious, I'm not sure I'd want to watch it again unless I was showing it to someone else.

Ted R (nl) wrote: One Crazy Summer is a cult 80's classic with all the trappings of an 80's movie. Dorky everyday and eccentric cast takes on rich white people evil types to save something by beating them at their own game. Throw a montage in there and some really bad 80's music and wala!! Well this has a bit more to it. The goofiness is on a whole other level. Not a crude movie, but still crazy, fun, and funny. Bobcat telling the story of the fat kid still cracks me up. This was Bobcat at his best. This stuff was way more funny to me as a kid in the 80's, but still a blast to watch. The animated moments are also really well done. Fun stuff and great for the Summer.

Anthony I (jp) wrote: Bizarre, off-the-wall, counter-cultural comedy from an early Woody Allen. Works really well, and is hilarious as a political satire. Very similar to Mel Brooks and Seth MacFarlane in style and delivery of the many jokes. Some jokes might go over the heads of the viewer... at least those who aren't familiar with the time period. Some of the raunchy jokes almost foreshadow the allegations Woody faced later in his life.

Ashley H (jp) wrote: Ziegfeld Girl is an enjoyable film. It is about being discovered by Flo Ziegfeld that changes a girl's life but not necessarily for the better. Judy Garland, Hedy Lamarr, and Lana Turner give excellent performances. The screenplay and music are both amazing. Robert Z. Leonard and Busby Berkeley did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama and romance. Ziegfeld Girl is a must see.

(kr) wrote: Understandably slammed but really not that bad at all. Exorcist II is a visual delight, and for me a better film than the original in many ways. It has some great ideas but unfortunately is still too closely tied to the original to work on its own terms, and be as compelling as it should be. A real treat for film buffs willing to open their minds to what is essentially an attack on the original film though. Very interesting, just not compelling enough.

David J (ag) wrote: Not bad at all. Much better than most Christ-centered films. The movie smartly avoids being as cliched and opinionated and instead aims for a positive and kind message that anyone can appreciate, not just believers.
