Everybody's Fine

Eight months after the death of his wife, Frank Goode looks forward to a reunion with his four adult children. When all of them cancel their visits at the last minute, Frank, against the advice of his doctor, sets out on a road trip to reconnect with his offspring. As he visits each one in turn, Frank finds that his children's lives are not quite as picture-perfect as they've made them out to be.

Frank Goode lives by himself in Elmira, NY, a recent widower with heart trouble, retired from a factory job, proud of having pushed his adult children toward success. In the summer, all four kids bail on a reunion, so, against doctor's orders, Frank decides to surprise each with a visit. He sets out to see his artist son in New York City, his daughter the ad exec in Chicago, his son the conductor on tour and presently in Denver, and his daughter who's a performer in Vegas. None are as he imagines or hopes. Will they let him see themselves as they are, and can this dad adapt? . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

wedstarfish 8 (gb) wrote: This video game adaptation tries way too hard trying to be a awesome action film, as it gives you bad acting, no plot whatsoever, and only fighting/action scenes. It is cool, but not really even a film, as I can totally see why critics hated this. The action is not nonstop, and throughout the film it is boring. This film could have done way better.

Patrick L (ca) wrote: I do not think I saw the first film with Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas. I watched this film and found that it is a rather okay film - Sharon Stone standing out with her portrayal of a seductive, seemingly needy, yet almost psychopathic personality. Is she the killer or is she not? I think this film is one that didn't need to be made and furthermore highlights the possibility that there are some possibly sick people who make films for a living. I still remember Sharon Stone's star turn with Tom Selleck in his Magnum PI series in which she played a twin who seemed innocent and yet had a darker side to her. That role's width and breadth is reflected somewhat in this film though of course there is more emphasis on the evil of her character. 6/10

Tim D (es) wrote: The teasing gets annoying. When someone dies, he shouldn't wake up from the dream. He needs to be dead. The story is good overall. The small presence of Kirsty wrapped it with the original, which was good. And this one had the best Cenobites since the original.

I still find it hilarious, amazing and extremely creative and entertaining ... I'm really pleased that I had the chance to see it again and this time I have the advantage of keeping it and saving it along with my film library.

Bruce B (it) wrote: Number 2 in my quest to see 30 Christmas Films by Christmas Day. Had never heard of this one in my years of TV watching during h season and wondered why. Was it the teaching of Christian values. Made in 1957 its about a man and women who move to Wisconsin from the Faroe Islands. Shows their life and raising 7 children, dad dies, then Mom dies and the oldest son who is all of 12 must places the children in homes on Christmas day. Worth 4 1/2 stars
