Matt G (es) wrote: The plots of these animated superhero outings are all basically the same: superhero has crisis, big-bad shows up, hero conquers big-bad and their own personal crisis. So when getting into one of these, all I really ask is the filmmakers get the characterizations right, and in that aspect, "War" is all sorts of fun. A simple romp full of humor and energetic action.

Eric R (kr) wrote: Yea, its kinda if Russ Meyer and Lloyd Kaufman had gotten together and made a movie. Its stupid, exploitative, sleaze. I had fun.

There's a real tension in the first half, when the trio find out that the Mission to Mars that they've trained for is aborted and will be instead done at some top secret studio. But then in the second half, it becomes action adventurey as the astronauts try to avoid the authorities while escaping into the desert. Plus: Elliott Gould.

Matthew H (mx) wrote: Harry and the Hendersons is an easily forgettable, inoffensive romp with some heartfelt messages and themes, but without legs to stand on.

Vernon G (ru) wrote: It's refreshing that a movie I remembered as funny over 25 years ago is still funny to me as an adult.
