Jamie B (fr) wrote: Holy cow, HORRIBLE acting. I was also kind of expecting the boy she dates online to be kinda creepy or edgy or something... instead, aside from the whole ex-con thing, he's kinda just a bore (as is this movie).

Ed Fucking H (es) wrote: Malcom McDowell and Olver Reed, now theres a comedic duo. Really enjoyed this comedy from 1975. A little surprised more people havent seen in it, given the quality. Has a fairly complex plot, but keeps the laughs in regular supply. Several bad ass sword fighting scenes. Malcolm McDowell is really funny throughout. Alan Bates also definently has his moments. Florinda Bolkan is hot. All in all a really good time. More people need to see this one.

Sheryl Z (es) wrote: Didn't pass my 10 minute rule, even though I think I gave it a bit longer. The problem is that they were trying too hard. Also trying to be funny/cute and depressing at the same time. That sometimes works, but it wasn't working in the movie. The chemistry was just off.

James C (de) wrote: Another rather pointless film that I had to watch on my film and Philosophy course today at Bristol UWE Uni. Marlene Dietrich is a 1930s stunner and there are a few cheap laughs but nothing like enough glamour to keep my interest for much longer than about 10 minutes. Overblown score and cheaply theatrical in design. Not very impressed.

Ryan B (us) wrote: Bad Johnson, so much potential and yet it didn't quite make the cut. The acting isn't great, the lead, Cam Gigandet, didn't sound or look like he even cared for this role. I'm pretty sure any other guy actor could've played the same role. The comedy is there for a few scenes but mostly isn't there. There's a smidgen of action but it's only for literally one scene, there's even more romance than comedy. It's a very low budget movie with a...kind of a bad plot which is a womanizer wishes his penis would leave him alone and of course his wish comes true and then spends most of the film living without his manhood and getting his kind-hearted side out. Overall it's not a great movie and it's not a horrible movie either so I guess I can't really unrecommend it or recommend it. I guess it's a take it or leave it kind of film. I'll just leave it at that

Steve R (ru) wrote: It has got Tony Soprano and Dr. Who in it ... fast paced, funny, and spot on as far as explaining how first world countries fool themselves into eternal war.
