Maggie S (nl) wrote: I was surrounded by elderly, white couples, as expected ... but enjoyed the film (performances as well as the 'trivia') very much :D

Daniel L (gb) wrote: enjoyed watching very well

Brett W (ru) wrote: The film did a great job of creating atmosphere and there were, of course, some very beautifully framed shots, but instead of Haneke's typical mastering of suspense, this one just felt... too Kafkaesque.

Robyn M (de) wrote: With the look and feel of a very cheaply made movie, I was quite pleasantly surprised by the uh... 'quality' and choreography of the effects and stunts used in this film. Largely ridiculous and going quite a distance beyond the boundaries of sensibility, while still keeping its feet more or less on the ground, this film is nevertheless worth a watch - even just for Coolio's silly hat.

Troy (nl) wrote: An average film overall. Not too shabby, but not a gem either. The acting is suprisenlgy decent for a low budget film, alot of plot holes, but good job to Lou Diamond Phillips who kinda makes his performence believable. the plot is your basic cheesy horror flick with a few corny comdeny and plain corruption mixed in. but a good watch to kill some time.

James H (it) wrote: 67/100. Fine story with very effective casting. Dennis Quaid is terrific and Gwyneth Paltrow does an exceptional job in a supporting role. The two hour plus running time makes it a little slow moving at times, but it is well worth watching. Good score and cinematography.

Jeff B (it) wrote: I loved this film, so hilarious and so sweet. Eigh year old Harry and his five year old brother Davy have to live in Nova Scotia with their aunt and grandparents after their father dies. The two want a dog, but their strict grandpa won't let them have one. One day, Harry finds a baby in the woods so the two decide to keep it a secret and try to raise it. This is such a wonderful film, John Whiteley and Vincent Winter are pretty much the cutest kids in the world, especially Winter (Davy) and I love that the two won Oscars for it. The ending is so sweet and perfect. And man, Davy delivers one of the funniest lines I have ever heard in a long time. It's so sad that this movie is so impossible to find.

Melonie R (jp) wrote: I watched this in my earlier childhood, and I still enjoy it 30 years later! They don't make these kinds of movies anymore. What a shame!

Bill B (fr) wrote: Gave this one a re-watch in advance of a certain podcast reviewing it, and I have to say that I just freaking love Sam Rockwell in this role. Truly a lot of fun, and if even half of this fanciful nonsense is true, I'm amazed.Well worth a look, give that mother a rental.
