Lee M (kr) wrote: Great movie I watched it with my 10 year old son and was worried he wouldn't get it but he loved it. One this is for sure it is a tear jerker so bring the tissues.

Stuntman Mike M (de) wrote: Must See! One of the best Slasher films ever made!

Bela V (br) wrote: It was decent. I probably won't watch it again.

Taylor B (nl) wrote: Not sure how much of the story is historical, but it is incredibly moving.

Mary N (mx) wrote: Great romantic story

David B (fr) wrote: its hard to critique this - it is a very personal and warm memoir of a city as remembered by terrence davies and told through archive footage. I enjoyed it, he has a good narrators voice, some of it is very touching. Actually, despite having no central story line as such, it does become rather grand and in the end you feel like you've watched something spectacular and then afterwards you can remember nothing about it.

Lee M (it) wrote: Deadland, though creative, has fatal flaws in its pacing and acting.

Hashim Ali C (au) wrote: good movie...better than expected...hated Akshay Kumar like always. He is always over the top and a crap actor. Loved and absolutely adored the performance of Vidya Balan...she was the best thing in the movie. The sets were fantastic and the music was also worth prasing.

Rosaly L (au) wrote: I enjoyed this movie... good non-stop action from beginning to end. I could honestly say that Mick Jagger's "Vacendak" was superb.

Robert I (ru) wrote: The best ninja film I've ever seen. Didn't just match my expectations it exceeded them in the first two minutes when a six year old kid gets a ninja star in the face!

Des S (au) wrote: For a TV movie, this wasn't too bad. I just think that some of the acting needed work and parts of the storyline weren't very believable.

Paul D (es) wrote: Tender story of belief and child innocence. The relationships between the children and adults and again with the escaped criminal are particularly well handled and feel down to earth.

Matt M (ru) wrote: A former British spy recalls his wartime journey through Germany with a Gypsy woman. Dietrich cast as a dark skinned gypsy woman is delightfully bizarre, but Milland and her do not share much of a spark. It's a mildly entertaining film with some amusing moments, but not very memorable.

Stefan G (au) wrote: Chevy Chase may not have been one of the best names in the 1980's. In fact, when I think about him, I usually think about stereotypically unfunny '80's comedy. This film, however, is actually worth watching. The main premise, which revolves around a journalist who uses an array of disguises in his pursuit of incriminating information, is quite solid and surprisingly realistic. It's as though the writers have a real grasp of what being a journalist is about, and what helps is that the story has a balanced pace, so it doesn't seem tedious in any way. I find Chase's performance as the title character to be quite eccentric, in a way that it's certainly better than any other film he's in (as far as I know). The main attraction of this film is its overall style. There are two main tracks that are used very frequently, and they are very good. The film's soundtrack is the kind of quintessentially '80's synth music that obsessive fans of the decade crave, and it's extremely catchy. The humour is sometimes a little hit-or-miss, but it's subtle enough that it works it the right time, so long as the right performances are there. It's not one of the best movies of the '80's, but I find it to be rather underrated. If you find it, I'd recommend seeing it at least once.
