I think it purposefully makes the first impressions misleading. I think the dramatic arc is created from its structure. Fascinating.
(us) wrote: Blegh! I could barely watch the first half hour with all of the apologizing for shooting the film camcorder-style. Yeah, that's enticing. Then the movie continues in this fashion with underdeveloped characters getting hunted down one by one. Who cares? Oh, and why, again? Don't know.
(it) wrote: Fascinating. Reminds me of Shut Up And Sing, LOL!

(kr) wrote: Strong performances from it's cast, particularly Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid. "In Good Company" may not appeal to everyone but, it should be seen for the performances alone and the sweet and tender moments given. A film that is truly under rated among the general audience, if they've heard of it in my opinion.
(br) wrote: Probably too high of a rating (maybe 55, if I could've been more exact), but I love Cate Blanchet and the cinematography was beautiful. The story was a bit lacking the pace was disjointed. My friend watching with me was bored in the first 15 minutes. Somehow, we persevered through the whole thing. The ending was a bit too Hollywood predictable. Good performance by Billy Crudup too.
(ag) wrote: pretty messed up true story. Kind of interesting how everything ends up.
(it) wrote: The beginning of the story was excellent, but the longer the film went on the more convoluted it got. Still a nice addition among Eastwood's collection, but not among his best
(it) wrote: I wasn't sure about the connection with the word 'memories'. The stories were interesting definitely but the link from one to another or to the word wasn't present. A little disappointed.
(au) wrote: Based on true event. Intense and good drama. Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton and Gary Sinise were selected for Apollo 13 mission to land on Moon. Few weeks before launch, Gary is taken off the mission because of suspected measles. Kevin Bacon who is the backup crew was chosen to replace him. The launch was successful and on the 4th day in space when they were suppose to land, the oxygen tank coil shaken and destroy the tank, cause explosion to the chamber. Now the trio are stuck out there and ground control Ed Harris finds ways to save them back. They have to go to the escape pod for the rest of the trip to save power. Their 1st problem is oxygen running out and build up of CO2. A crew of engineers manage to solve the filter problem using what is available in the pod. Gary is been ask back to figure out how to get them to pilot back to Earth on limited power of 20 amp. After many failed attempts, Gary manage to find out how. The crew up there try and make it, landing at sea safely.
(br) wrote: Not Miyazaki's best, but still pretty great and ambitious for a second movie. My only problem is that Princess Mononoke exists and that does a similar premise a little better. This is still a pretty darn good movie.

(es) wrote: Wow.. Great job Troye! The book is better but this movie is good as well. I love the soundtrack btw..
(au) wrote: pretty great, like sirk meets siegel, or peyton place with armed robbery. gorgeous wide screen technicolor too
(it) wrote: I wasn't expecting much from this movie due to the fact that I got it in a 8 movie collection and the first movie I watched in the set was a big o' fat dud Ring rip off from Australia. The soundtrack doesn't fit very well and not great acting but I liked the cinematography and surreal scenes of the Julian character losing it. All in all okay movie.
