While hiding out in the back rooms and conduits of the Metro, Fred encounters a subterranean society of eccentric characters and petty criminals. Despite being pursued by the henchmen, Fred finds the time to flirt with Helena (Isabelle Adjani) the wife of the shady businessman, blow a safe, rob a train, evade the hapless Metro police and start a rock band...I saw "Subway" I reckon a year later after it came out at the movies. And my recollection of the movie was a slick, new wavey thriller from the brilliant Luc Besson (back then at least..). However, that is only half of the truth. The opening sequence gets the adrenaline flow, and then it drops like a stone when the storyline becomes a mish mash of genres that doesn't work together at all. Fred is an unlikable character and the rest are just weird subway outcasts. In a combination of so so acting, strange editing, incoherent sequences and a plotline that's all over the place, I was quite disappointed to resee "Subway". Interesting musical score though.

Isabelle L (ru) wrote: It's a good movie. I like the movie a lot. My most favorite part about that movie is the band (parade) in New Orlands. I like the song "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars but Alvin and the Chipmunks version.. I like all the songs to because it's was awesome and better as I thought it would be in the movie.
