Jos Carlos (jp) wrote: It never stands out in its realm of typical action thrillers based on true events, and accordingly makes some obvious deviations from the original events in order to add dramatism to its already dramatic catastrophe. And yet, "Deepwater Horizon" is a decent enough thanks to superb performances, Peter Berg's tense direction, dazzling visual effects, one greatly effective sense of mayhem and its message about awareness.

I used to love this movie when I was younger, but through the years, I've seemed to outgrow it. Still, The 'Burbs is better than most "stupid comedies" of this kind. It entertains.Ray Peterson is on vacation and decides to spend it at his house instead of going to the lake. New neighbors have moved in beside him and it has the whole street talking, because the people never come out. There are also strange sounds exuding from the basement of the house, as well as midnight diggings in the backyard and suspicious garbage behavior. Soon Ray and two of his neighbors are completely obsessed with spying on the neighbors, much to the displeasure of Ray's wife, who thinks the three are acting immaturely. While The Burbs is nothing special, it is a fun little look into paranoia in the suburbs. The style is slightly off putting at times, but the characters are fun to watch. Certainly not the best of Joe Dante's or Tom Hanks' work, but serviceable enough for a look.
Wahida K (it) wrote: Trouble with I.S Johar and Sippy Movies was the "improvisations". Thinking I finally caught the thread, there I go again get confused by a twist of Plot. It was a "Miracle" when I.S. Johar`s "Mehmood Johar in Goa" was a success. Johar`s Trade Mark was to take over, or he atleast tried to convince the directors to make it different. Sippy was one of the Directors who gave actors chance to "assist" him. Sometimes there was a huge success sometimes well, this Movie is a one of the proof. Look at the rating. I.S. Johar was a great actor no doubt, just a horrible director.

This film about the controversial (mostly) silent film star Charlie Chaplin not only earned Downey well-deserved praise, but also earned him an Oscar nom for Lead Actor. Directed by Richard Attenborough (who also acted and remembered as John Hammond in Jurassic Park) this film does a fine job of showing a Chaplin who seldom seemed to be at peace. Just do not expect a well-rounded biography, because there is more to this man than can be presented in film. A truly complicated man, who you could almost feel sorry for. Also seen in this remarkable film are Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Kline, and Mila Jovanovich.
