Jami L (ag) wrote: Caffeine is sort of a cross between Friends and Waiting, only not as gratifying. The story is the day in the life, so to speak, of the patrons and staff of The Black Cat Cafe. I do enjoy seeing Breckin Meyer in movies, he won my heart in Clueless. Mena Suvari is pretty, and she had killer hair in this film. You also get to see Kathrine Heigl, looking sort of plain. The story was mildly amusing, with a couple of enjoyable visual fantasies. But all in all, the whole movie was lacking something. It split off into too many directions and was kind of disorganized in parts. Some of the characters in this film were entertaining, and there were moments I laughed, but over all I was a little bored. Some of the English accents were not very solid, and some were all together a mess. Caffeine wasn't horrible, but I think with a few improvements it could have been really good. I can see the direction that John Cosgrove was shooting for, unfortunately he missed the target with this one. If you have nothing else to do, and there is nothing on TV, Caffeine may mildly amuse you and occupy your time.

Vincent G (it) wrote: Directed by the japanese master of horror Kaneto shindo, Onibaba is a terrific Tour-de-force horror film with some of the most briiliant shots in cinema. Shindo's horror masterpiece was considered at that time too controversial for occidental viewers, it was banned in many countries because of its Violence, nudity and storyline, without doubt one of the most perfect. And controversial films ever made.

Kevin M W (us) wrote: Filmed nearly entirely on a soundstage (what in the name of heaven were they thinking, an indoor Western?!?), produced by Coop himself, written by Nunnally Johnson, and meant as a kitschy send-up of the usual stonyfaced Westerns, this effort tries way too hard to be funny and therefore only manages to feel way too contrived. An "A" for effort goes to William Demerest, Dan Duryea, the sidekick and the villain respectively, and to the set design department for giving the thing that ol' college try though.
