Paolo R (gb) wrote: Ginger Baker is known as the drummer who could keep perfect time... and so he has inspired many drummers.... but those drummers are keen to point out that they didn't get their inspiration from him about how to lead their lives, because, fundamentally, he was - and still is - brutishly selfish and sociopathic. However, all that makes for one compelling music documentary.

Frances H (ru) wrote: This has to be one of the stupidest movies ever! Great material for Mystery Science Theater, but without our robot friends there's not much here. It's one long chase scene with little sense and no acting, plus no real dialogue to speak of. Wish I had heeded other audience reviews on this one.

Beate G (es) wrote: A great film representing the current corrupt ways of our government. Funny, the critics did not like it, but not surprising. A must see for anyone who is slightly interested in the corrupt ness of government. I understand there is a book written, which I have never heard of.. I was quite impressed with this film!

Luke S (us) wrote: This is truly one of the worst films I have ever seen in my entire life. There is no good quality to the film whatsoever, every single detail of it is simply appalling. This is a disgrace to the classic universal monster movies, which have always been personal favourites of mine. I truly can't express my hatred of this film enough to completely relieve myself of the suffering that I went through while watching this. I feel immensely sorry for everyone who had to sit through this piece of revolting slime, as well as for anyone who made the horrifying choice of being involved in the making of this, especially since Hugh Jackman is a very talented actor. Do yourself a favour and avoid watching Van Helsing by any means necessary.

But Igby also soon realizes he can never completely bury his past. My Thoughts: "Kieran Culkin portrayed all the angst and bitterness his character was feeling quite well. Igby's life is rough. His mother, played by Susan Sarandon, is very manipulative and condescending. Sarandon is pure genius as the mother in this film. You can feel all the frustration, anger, and yet sadness Igby feels towards his mother in the end. It's quite intense and emotional. There are plenty of complicated character's to keep your interest and keep you caught up in the story. Of course Rory Culkin was the best pick to play the young Igby considering they are brother's and look a lot alike. Every one of the actor's put in great performances. A film to see if you haven't."

Nate P (jp) wrote: Avatar is one of the most visually stunning movies ever and it has great characters and intense action sequences, as well as a very intriguing world. However, it suffers from a very cliche story, bland romance, a a bland villain, and a main lead character that could have been so much better.
