(au) wrote: Why do these movies always have to feature the overly dramatic girl that's immediately unrealistically nervous and afraid of every little thing?? The cell phones without signals. That typical jokester tries to scare everyone with pranks and when something scary happens everyone still thinks it's a prank scenario. It's been DONE, people...too many times...some original ideas please...They used every typical cliche in this one.

Great story, well shot, and mostly well-acted (the actor playing Mickey could work on line delivery a little). I know this isn't the sort of movie that gets a sequel, but the end really left me wanting to see more. The zombie genre is oversaturated right now, but this one is worth the watch.
(br) wrote: The beginning was great, you had the opening scenes where the director makes it clear what she wants and how she's going to go for it. Then you have the midlle, in the first part of the middle she accomplished her first goal, in the second part she accomplished the other one. Then you had the ending which was a complete downfall, not only was it to small in time and did the ending scene come to fast, its also unworthy of the beginning and middle. The whole ending part missed its purpose and goal.

(it) wrote: Laurence Olivier as a Middle Eastern extremist might not be as easy to swallow as it sounds but Olivier as always sells it. How about Heston as a British solider...well...his accent disappears more often than it should, but who cares...it's Charlton Heston in a sweeping, Cinerama-shot epic.
