Seymour T (nl) wrote: I was lucky enough to see an early screening of Among Ravens and let me just say this is one movie that you do not want to miss. The first thing that stands out about this film is the gorgeous cinematography. Directors Russell Friedenberg and Randy Redroad did an outstanding job of capturing the simplistic beauty of rural Idaho, every shot is absolutely gorgeous. The story revolves around a group of friends sharing a cabin but it stretches in many interesting and surprising directions. One of the most remarkable elements of the film was the performance turned in by child actor Johnny Sequoyah, she plays one of the leads and in doing so cements her place as one of Hollywood's next big stars. Among Ravens is one of those movies that sticks with you long after you finish watching it and contains a sense of depth that many mainstream films are missing these days. I can't wait to watch it again because my appreciation for this film has only grown as time has passed. If you're a lover of film or just loved to be entertained, I can't suggest this movie highly enough!

Brett B (kr) wrote: I really wanted to like this movie, but there are too many absurd things that happen in this movie within the plot line for that to happen. Coppola is doing his typical thing in this movie, so the acting is suspect at best. I really couldn't get past the diary that he found 6 years after the FBI swept the house and how it was still readable.

Andrea P (au) wrote: This movie was ABSOLUTELY terrible. Too long. I had to sit through this movie for several class periods during a French film course. I can truly say, without exaggeration, that the time I spent watching the movie was some of the most torturous moments of my life. However, the scenery in this movie was beautiful. The director dealt with colorful landscapes, and I found this artistic detail refreshing amidst an otherwise terrible movie. However, this was not enough to compensate for this movie.
