He finally gets to spend an evening with her one night, but then he accidentally kills her. Then things get interesting....After that, Roman meets another interesting girl, Eva (played very rambunctiously by the fun Nectar Rose), who has an obsession with Roman and is eager to date him, much to Roman's dismay who is casually still "dating" Kristen Bell's body. The film is deliberately slow-paced, offering only small, tidbits of scary overtones that mostly go unnoticed. What really sticks out are the awkward funny moments, which are actually kinda funny. Roman is not a bad film at all; Lucky manages to show us a unique side of himself that we rarely get to see, as does Angela Bettis in her unique directing. While both did a commendable job in reversing their roles, I find myself drawn more to their natural talents. Still, not a bad film at all.

And some of it is excellent. But be prepared to listen to lots of music, and sit through a story that is a very predictable plot about the rise of a musical group. You've probably seen the story many times, so don't expect much that's new or interesting. It's about starry eyed performers who encounter record execs and other performers in the business, fall in love, have problems, have big egos, get hurt by the coldhearted business, have to conform to what record execs want, and so on. For me the most surprising part was Eddie Murphy's performance as a James Brown composite. I never knew Eddie could sing so well. Assuming that's Eddie...

(kr) wrote: They claimed this was a comedy, but it was not funny at all and I had a hard time trying to figure out what this film was even about.I get their was a ban on pork, so all these people are hiding their own private pigs to eat, but I guess I never understood why it was such a crime.A nice cast, but a story that goes nowhere. Like why does the inspector just ignore them in the end after being such a dick the entire time?Add in the films just ends in a random spot. It just wasn't very good.

(de) wrote: I thought it humorous. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith make a great team! Their characters are very funny. It also had good action. But there was quite a br of coarse language which wasn't necessarily relevant to the story
