Amanda H (fr) wrote: Cillian Murphy is a very rare breed of actor- the type who can make you suspend all reality and draw you into the film as though it were life. Every time I see him, I forget who he is and become completely engrossed in his character, and this is possibly the most impressive performance I've seen from him yet. The film as a whole is disturbing and painfully sad despite its disappointing ending, and on the whole I was quite moved by it.
Greg K (gb) wrote: Silly movie. I like the cast. I was entertained by it, made me laugh a few times. I liked the female doctor that was really a patient. She is stunningly gorgeous.
Claraity (nl) wrote: A good movie! I enjoyed the comedic parts of the movie and the romantic parts also. The love between Tsuneo and Josee was realistic, and touching.
Thomas B (kr) wrote: Jodie Foster is good as usual but the plot is too far-fetched to take seriously. Full review later.
John T (jp) wrote: I couldn't get into this even a little. It kept putting me to sleep. It's about a guy who is making a sci-fi flick like Barbarella. The scenes of the movie they're making are good and I really wanted to watch that. But those were little and far between. You're left with a long drawn out movie maker. And even his stuff wasn't bad, but the pace was horrible. It was just not enough to keep me interested.

Matt M (gb) wrote: A cop gets is assigned to bring in his old high school friend, a drug dealer who is trying to get straight. Complications arise when the two men fall in love with the same woman. This is a lazy depiction of the 80's fast lifestyle, rather disappointing from the man who wrote one of the best screenplays ever with Chinatown. Furthermore, it is a waste of an amazing leading trio with a charisma that could have made this a cult film.
